We stayed here for 3 nights with 12 & 14yr olds. The location was great being right right in town and across the street from Mt. Olympus and next to the Ducks. The price of the hotel and fact that it included Mt. Olympus tickets is what sold us on this hotel. Although crossing that 4 lane highway to get to Mt. Olympus is tricky and at times we felt like we were playing a live game of Frogger. Our expectations were not high given the price we paid in comparison to other hotels that are double the price in the Dells area. We figured it would be a no-frills older hotel. When we pulled in we noticed there were two buildings - one was the main building with lobby and indoor pool and the other seemed older and had exterior entrances to the rooms. Our room was in the newer building with the interior lobby & entrances. The hotel was clean and seemed organized. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool wasnt much but it was clean and never crowded even though the hotel was 100% booked the whole time we were there. The room was pretty standard/average. I realize they probably have a million people going through here especially during the summer months, however they really need to upgrade some stuff here. The sheets were worn pretty bad, almost to the point you could see through them. The mattresses were also pretty old/bad and on the border of being gross. Im not sure why they have such a strict towel policy but if you need new towels you must go to the lobby and exchange a wet/dirty one for a clean/dry one. The microwave was convenient but again, very old and didnt work that great. The climate control also didnt work and we had a hard time keeping the room at a comfortable tempature rather than freezing cold or stuffy hot. The free breakfast is always something we consider a plus but it didnt seem to be much of an advantage here. They had frozen donuts and a few pastries and a couple choices of cereal and a make yourself waffle station. The area was always so crowded it took forever just to get a frozen donut. Not worth it. Although some of my comments are negative, overall we were happy with our stay. The hotel was quiet, we didnt notice any rowdy kids or noise at night. For the price we were happy.

The hotel was a great bargain with the free breakfast and included Mt. Olympus passes. The location was premium given that we walked to the park in under 10 minutes. Unfortunately the below ground room was very dark and didn't appear to be as nice as we would have expected. The bar holding the shower curtain was about to fall off of the wall when we arrived and called the office but it was not fixed during our stay.

This is a quality hotel that is a bit dated but offers a nice stay. Pool are is spacious and fun, especially if you have younger children. Rooms were comfortable and quiet.

Overall, the room was nice and clean. It was an awesome location to Mt. Olympus. The staff was very very nice to me, they even held onto my keys while we went to Mt. Olympus because we got there at 11 a.m. and weren't able to check into our rooms yet. The day that we were leaving I was getting ready and there was a large bug on the sink. My friend went down to the main desk and had the manager come into the room and she asked us what we expected since there was a forest right next to the hotel. She then told us that the bug probably carried in on one of us when we came into the room. She was extremely rude, but everyone else was extremely nice.

We spent our first two nights at the Skyline Hotel and Suites. It is a little on the older side. We rented the two bedroom condo. This actually was okay for our large group of two families of 4. The condo was a good size for us. The kids liked the spiral staircase to the livingroom and bedroom areas. The down stairs had a full kitchen, 1/2 bath and dining room. We did notice many small things that needed attention and repairs and the carpet needed cleaning. On the plus side the location is good...right accross from Mount Olympus and you can walk and avoid the parking fee to the park. The indoor pool is okay...small hot tub and small sauna. Outdoor pool is small as well. The morning breakfast is limited but does include waffles. We paid $242 a night for our stay and this included passes to Mount Olympus for 8 of us for every day of our stay including the day we left (3days). This made the value of the hotel pretty great.

Decided to stay at the Skyline to extend our vacation in the Dells an extra day....big mistake.
First of all, we were not given the units in the newer building...even after requesting them over the phone and being told we would be. They made us wait hours to check in. Kept telling us to come back and each time they would tell us it wasn't ready yet. First clue should have been overhearing a customer arguing with the front desk about charges on their credit card, watching them leave and seeing the staff behind the desk scoff at them after they left.
Finally we got our room which was in the older building next to the newest building. The room looked like a regular cheap hotel room, but smelled musty and had one doorway leading to an indoor corridor, and the other to an outdoor porch, which was easily accessible to anyone outside who felt like crawling over the railing...and that could be done since it was level with the parking lot.
The whirlpool in the pool area was cold, the pool itself was cold and the lighting was poor in the pool area itself. In the kiddie pool, the slide had a mat at the bottom which kept popping up which kept the kids from sliding into the water.
Now the worst part....
After sitting out on the 'porch' we noticed the indoor outdoor carpeting on the floor of the porch was soaking wet and moldy and was not even attached to the floor properly. It had rolls everywhere and was a hazard for tripping over. When it began to get dark, we happened to notice on the porchlight a HUGE black spider on a web right by the door, then upon looking up at the overhang of the porch, we noticed another, then another then another! These weren't just small spiders, but very large black spiders.
We called the front desk to let them know and they said they would send someone over to spray, but they never did. Going back into the room to wait for matinance to come, we noticed one on the floor, that ran under the sofa sleeper. We called again and they told us they were still trying to locate some bug spray. Enough was enough. We decided to walk up to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room. While walking to the front office, we looked on the overhangs of the building and the other porches and there were those spiders everywhere! It looked like something out of the movie "Arachnaphobia"!
Another room was not available they told us, so we asked for a refund and they refused.
They were extremely rude and didn't seem to care whatsoever, no help at all and no maintenance ever came to check anything out. We were completely disgusted and creeped out.
The people in the unit next to us had spiders too and they complained with no help either. We decided just to take the $ loss and pack up and head for home.
Called the next day and spoke with the manager, who was of no help. He said the next day they sprayed the outside of the awnings with a garden hose and that was that. No refund. He just simply didn't care. Why should he? They already had our $.
Just goes to prove that you get what you pay for. The higher price resorts are higher for a reason....HIGHER class! Spend a few extra bucks and stay at one of the big resorts. At least you know what you're getting there!

If you decide to stay, better bring your bug spray and be prepared to stay up all night watching for big black spiders crawling around your room and door.
