Stayed this weekend for a family reunion and what a disappointment. Stayed in the village, which was a motel that needed serious upgrades. Had to get to my room via the back of the building. Stayed in bldg. 12. Had to request towels, because the room was not cleaned. Tried to relocate to the hotel, but the desk clerks are trained to lie about no room. They had rooms online but I was told they had nothing available. Over priced concessions too. Never again will I stay here. It is over priced, who stays in a motel for 3 nights for $1,000.00.

Checking in is a hassle, you go to the main hotel and they let you know where you will be staying. We were put in to building 15. Pulling in to the parking lot each room look more like out houses. The location is close to a mile north of the theme park so you have to drive each time you want to go to the park. The room has 2 doors both leading outside, which you can actually see light coming in around the doors. Our reservation was also messed up we reserved a room with 2 queen beds, we were given a room with 1 queen and bunk beds. Theme park is very busy we waited an hour for some water slides. Overall I was disappointed that they charge premium rates for run down rooms.

We stayed in bldg 7 during our trip this past weekend. For the price, it was fine for a 2 night stay for 5. The rooms were newly remodeled and clean. Beds were comfortable and luckily building 7 was a short walk from the outdoor waterpark and close to the strip for us to walk to Noahs Ark. Only downfall is that the floors are wood laminate and so walking across them can be loud. Also note, any room/bldg other than Hotel Rome is a motel and not a hotel.
Check-In: We arrived around 1:30 and did not have to wait in line to check in and our room was ready!

Room Tip: Mt Olympus has purchased nearly all hotel/motels on the strip so you could get stuck in the hotel do...

Stayed only 2 nights & that was plenty. The resort covers pretty much 8-10 city blocks. There is one hotel on site where the waterpark & theme park is. We were fortunate to only be about 3 blocks away, which did save on time to the park. Rooms - they were run down and ok for cleanliness. Our rooms were never cleaned during the stay, we were however offered clean towels. Bathroom door was warped and would not close. Beds are a mattress only no box spring but we were so tired at night that we all managed to sleep. Tickets to the park are included in the stay guess that was alright. Park itself is fun and we did enjoy that. Just make sure you understand that your hotel will not be in walking distance. It is what it is. Would not stay there again for a number of reasons.

Room Tip: Ask a lot of questions when booking your room, don't assume!

From plastic tables and chairs to lack of elevators and marginal food this place underwhelms. We paid $418 for hotel Rome for one night. Was never greeted by staff, hallways were filthy and hot. Water/theme park was dirty. Rides were fun but felt unsafe. Witnessed an employee walk without safety gear onto ride to get a lost towel. We felt like cattle. We're going back to Great Wolf next time. At least we will know if we pay $400 per night well not have to wait an hour for a ride and public restrooms will be clean. No mirrors in restrooms, which if present would reflect the whole park's lack of class, friendliness and comfort.

I will get the negatives out of the way first. Check in was a bit insane. Lots of people trying to check in, 10 agents to take care of them, language barrier, and lots of noise. Communicating was a bit of an issue because of this.
We stayed in the Mykonos Village, building 9. The beds were uncomfortable and the floors were wood laminate and extremely slick when wet. The room itself is insanely overpriced for the quality that you get. However, the fact that you get into the water and theme park for free makes up for this. We were just in there awake a couple of hours a day so it served it's purpose.
The River of Troy is my main ride complaint. It's a faster paced lazy river. People without tubes are allowed in it. These are usually older kids and teenagers with a lot of horseplay or just swimming in the river. I think there are plenty of other areas for this kind of behavior and they should stick to those areas.
Now, the positives or the "okays". It was extremely crowded. Which, duh, it's the summer. I love the fact that each of us had a wrist bracelet to get in that we could also use to charge food, drink, and locker rental to our room with. I feel like the indoor theme park was a major rip off. There really wasn't too much in there and the place lacked air conditioning which wasn't fun.
My daughter was too short for a lot of the rides. I wish there was cheaper pricing for kids under a certain height.
All in all, it was a good stay. The kids had fun and that's all that really matters.

Room Tip: Ask to stay in Hotel Rome or one of the lower numbered rooms.

We knew when booking that the "the village" was down the road and not in walking distance to the fun water park. We stayed at The Rome right on the Theme Park property. The fun is what you make it. Fun it was. Our room was spacious and clean. BEWARE-----there is a pack of thieves on the property. Things get stolen there. I personally spoke with 3 families within24 hours who had property taken from their room. We were victims too. When we spoke to the hotel manager she looked dumbfounded. One item missing was a cell phone. I asked her if anyone turned in a cell phone. . She ask, " what kind?" Fair question.... I describe the phone and she said the only phone they was turned Was one in a pink case . Nope our ours! This was 9:00 pm Thursday night. The other items taken from our room were beach towels that we stored in a snorkel gear bag we have been using for years YEARS! Not much value other than sentimental.

Friday morning while having my coffee I was people watching in
the lobby just sipping on my coffee ....... Passing the front desk I noticed a patron speaking with the same manager I did the night before. Her daughter was with her holding a pink phone. We ended up at the same elevator a few moments later. She spoke first, " Beware, my daughter had her phone stolen from our room yesterday, things are disappearing here." Turns out, they reported it stolen Thursday. Was told no no no impossible. She checked back and viola. I shared my story along with the families story I met the day before who had her little girls new flip flops and googles stolen.

We travel. And never encountered such thievery.

Food; No good. Do not plan a meaningful meal at the theme park.

So go, it's a fun place. However, watch your stuff.

Room Tip: Don't leave valuables in the room.
