“Spectacular Fireworks--Overpriced Room”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2013

When you consider travelling and staying at Mt. Olympus, pay careful attention to what others have written from their past experiences. That helped prepare me for what might lay ahead. We stayed in building 18 at Mt. Zeus for $250 a night during the 4th of July week. That room should run about $50 a night considering the room style, age of hotel, and amenities. You're in essence paying for those wristbands at the park. If you're not going to utilize that to it's fullest, it's not worth the price. The outdoor waterpark was a lot of fun, especially the two wave pools. The go-karts were also really fun with typical wait times of 20 minutes. The new Hades 360 was the scariest rollercoaster I was ever on. It probably wouldn't have been had it not been made of wood. All 5 rollercoasters are made of wood which means they're going to be hard on your neck and back--they are not smooth at all and I would warn you to brace yourself for this. Even my 13 year old daughter had a stiff neck after riding the Hades. You are not allowed to bring in any food or drink. They do check bags as you walk in--these checkers could be employed by airport security as they're not even allowing juice in. Prepare to spend a lot of extra money as food and drink are expensive. Also, prepare to park on either end of the action--either by the rides or the upper waterpark. Bring your walking shoes as everything is very spread out. One of the best parts of the trip were the fireworks. They were the absolute best I've ever seen in my life. We had a lot of fun on this trip, but we will try another waterpark some other time due to the high price tag.

We stayed here at one of the off site facilities called Poseidon #24. I read the reviews after we had booked the hotel for six nights and we changed it to two nights. We found our room in good condition and very spacious. The front desk was cordial during check in and quick. We went to the parks everyday. They were packed. We didn't have any problems like the other travelers did. The cost of the room was expensive for two nights, but if you have a lot of people in your group it's worth it because of the cost of the parks. We probably wouldn't stay here again just because we did the parks already. But we did have a good time while we stayed.

This place is misleading online We booked a room in the Hotel Rome The staff was friendly and we were able to check in and check out quick Parking was no problem either They have lots of parking close to front door for easy loading and unloading The room itself was very clean and neat It is decorated in a cool Roman style with an awesome bunk bed made to remind you of chariot wheels, the kids were thrilled by this The walls are very thin and you can hear everything that goes on outside your hallway and in the room next door to yours They advertise on their website that you get discounts to some of the area attractions and Wett Nightclub but they did away with all of that The arcade was great The bar inside the hotel has some great Happy Hour specials too The indoor waterpark and theme park are small but very enjoyable and so much fun The outdoor parks are just as great but bigger They also have a good variety of shops with great items for sale

The rates and included features drew us in. The value of what you get makes them the winners. However, it drew everyone else in as well. We arrived on a Sunday, and could not believe the amount of people. Wow! Extremely busy. Monday and Tuesday were much better. Our kids are younger, and they didn't care. Waits for theme park attractions, beyond kiddie stuff, were still 30 minutes minimum. Coasters were generally 60 minutes or more. Bring your patience with. They have a lot to learn from theme park professionals, but it comes with the room, so we cannot complain to much, as there seemed to be something else to Move on to. Rooms were OK. Nothing to special. We were in Kronos village building #10. We drove to the park. You could walk but it would be a hike. Some buildings are further yet. Not bad, but don't expect that you can walk across the street unless you are in hotel Rome. Had adjoining room, and sound from guests on other side came right through. Was kind of annoying when trying to put our kids to bed and the neighbors just came back with their loud crew. Water parks were very fun. Lots of options in one location. Lots of slides, multiple wave pools, a several lazy rivers, indoor and outdoor parks. Would we come back? Maybe.

Room Tip: Skip adjoining room if you can, thin doors were noisy.

We stayed at the hotel rome for 1 night with the intention of possibly adding a second night. Thank goodness I didn't book 2 nights right away, we couldn't get out fast enough. The walls were paper thin. The room shabby and only moderately clean. We had several phones running a white noise ap at full blast and we were still unable to sleep due to hallway and surrounding room noise. The Kalahari or Wilderness may be more expensive, but they are worth the additional cost. The park was overcrowded and the staff not very friendly. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Online it looked great but once you get there its quite dissapointing. No coffee maker, tiny microwave and not enough drawer space for 4 adults in the room. Our shower head, door stop and toilet paper holder was broken and the toilet loose. Also the ice machine was broken and walls are paper thin. There is no reception desk either and some guys partied all night and played football in the hallway. Complaining doesnt help cause nothing gets done about it. Beds were squeaking and not enough pillows so bring your own. Building 17 is old and run down. Expected more for what they charge.

My parents came up from TN and I thought it would be a Great vacation for them and my family of 5, 3teen kids to stay here at Mt. Olympus. I did use one of the codes to get a promo deal for the room. We were unable to stay at Hotel Rome, so we got in one of their other hotels. Building 19. It was the furthest one away from the Park. It was off the main drag down by the river. We got a 3queen bed, The best thing about it was the view of the river from our room. Other than that, for 7 people it was just an ordinary room with one bath, no coffee maker, small frig, and microwave. It was quite enough tho, being we just needed it to sleep in. Really wish it would have had a coffee maker! Even tho I got a discount on it, it was still quite expensive for what we got. I was expecting a bit more even out of the sister hotels for Mt. Olympus. If you like hard beds then it was good, otherwise, they were nicely done up but the pillows and beds were hard on the back and neck. You get 3 pillows so take your own. The air conditioner worked when it wanted too. House keeping did come in and refresh the towels on the 2nd day. There is no front desk only vending machines at this one. Also, if to many people staying there got ice the ice would run out for a while. There is no shuttle service to the park so we had to drive the whole time back and forth, so make sure you have enough gas, for it is a 5mile walk or more to the park from this place. For the most part of it the park was ok, for us to stay for 2 nights and 3 days it was too much, being that we were able to do all the rides in one day and the water park the whole next day. Otherwise, we were bored with 3 teenagers and 2 senior citizens. We also ate one night at Crabby's buffet, DON'T GO THERE! We paid $20 a person, and the advertisement says All you can eat crab legs, yeah for an extra $20 a person plus the buffet price. The service was Great but too costly for the buffet and what you get for food!!
Best advice, Stay at Hotel Rome if you can, and only for 1night 2days. That is all you will need. Then go to other site seeing places.
