We had a great time on Mother's Day here! Moms got in free :-) the view from the train was beautiful and the tidbit about the history was interesting too tho hard to hear. Will come back again!

Here we are 2 grown adults (over 40). Going to see a little train. What a great time. Watching the engineer take care of his train before the ride. Old fashion oil can and checking everything in his typical engineer hat. What a photo opportunity. Took some great black and white shots and our friends wanted copies because it looked so laid back. Take a nostalgic trip in time. This is worth the time. Thanks to all the volunteer s who make this happen and keep the good old days alive. Recommend this for all ages.

Easy to get to from the Dells. Good activity for the morning as they usually open around 9:30 a.m. Volunteers always are doing something--one was working on replacing ties when we were there. We got to chat with him for a while about the work that goes on to enable this place to stay open. The ride is not that long, 3 miles, but the treat at the end is getting out of the train to watch a volunteer hand turn the turntable with the train on it to go back the other way. Little gift shop, some educational opportunities, lot of photo opps. Their tracks have been wiped out at least once due to floods. They've managed to come back and are always happy for support. They close for the winter, until April. Usually a 1.00 coupon available on line.

This was a great activity to do with my 18 month old! He loves trains and was in awe of this tiny train ride! We went in October and the ride stopped on the way back for the kids to pick out a pumpkin. Super cute!

My son had a blast on this little train! It's the perfect size for little ones and extremely well-run. Quick little trip through the woods and a nice getaway from the tackiness of the Dells.

They have lots of picnic tables - I wish I would have thought to pack/bring lunch so we could have spent more time there to see the train run.

We will definitely return!
