“Family Fun for everyone”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Plenty for family to do all within one roof. There are restaurants on site and also on the property that you can get to by a free shuttle. There is also a golf course and spa down the street. One of the best features is a translucent roof over one of the pools that lets UV sunrays in so you can soak in the rays even in the winter seasons. There is a wave pool, lazy river and water slides at Wilderness and has three different areas that are connected by skywalk. Each area has its own indoor waterpark.

“Had a nice time”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Stayed for the first time at Wilderness Territory. Rooms were nice. Property was huge. Recommend staying in Wild West section near the bridge. This area was closer to all of the indoor waterparks. First two nights had a first floor room. Patio faced the main road. Didn't feel comfortable using it. Requested a second floor room for the third night and enjoyed our balcony. Waterparks were nice. Especially enjoyed the indoor/outdoor whirlpool. It was fun to sit in the outdoor part in 40 degree weather in the rain. Splurged for an indoor cabana for one day and enjoyed it greatly. Concierge delivered whatever food and drinks we wanted very quickly and efficiently. The chairs were really comfortable and we had a nice tv and refrigerator as well. We would definitely visit again.

“Experience it all!”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

We loved the infinity pool on the Lake. Make sure you ask a concierge about some of the parks and amenities. I think many guests miss out on the small beach and nice pool at Wilderness on the Lake.

This is a great resort if your kids love the water! They have a couple great indoor parks and 4 outdoor spots worth checking out. Everything from multi level lazy rivers to upside down extreme water slides.

It is 10x better if you can go mid week when the schools are back in session. We couldn't resist the price cut and pulled our girls out of school for 3 days for a late summer vacation.

It was very fun for the entire family.

The room wasn't spotless and wasn't up to "resort" standards but it was ok for the price. I would have been disappointed if we had paid weekend prices.

“Just what we were looking for”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We wanted somewhere in the Dells that was good for kids but also good for grown ups as well. We wanted to feel like we were in the woods with a view of a lake and Wilderness on the Lake delivered on all fronts. The 2-bedroom suite was huge and we especially loved the jacuzzi on the all weather porch with facing fireplace... the other Wilderness properties have more going on, but we loved the relative calmness of Wilderness on the Lake.... would definitely stay there again.

“Plenty of room, fun rides”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

This area has a nice array of things to entertain you: lazy river, multiple pools, multiple bars, and a few slides.

As far as real rides, there's 3 slides total. 1 using a bod board, and 2 body slides. The 2 body slides have you stand in a tube and the floor drops out from below you. It's actually pretty nerve-racking as it counts down, and then BOOM! you're in a free fall for a second or two before you hit the slide! It's fun once you're doing it and you'll want to go again right away! The only bad part is the one with a loop may result in you not making it up the incline and settling between the drop and incline until you have to use the special exit where you climb up and out. Oddly my girlfriend got stuck, despite being 30 pounds over the minimum weight. Seems like a design flaw, but whatevs, no harm no foul.
