“Awesome Waterpark”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

My family loves coming to this Hotel/waterpark because there is so much offerred. Some may complain that you have to really walk to get from one thing to the next (yes you may have to do alot of walking), but there are also shuttles that take you around for free. The wilderness offers you alot of fun and it helps keep the kids on the go. Highly suggest making a trip here; sometimes you can find really good deals on line by going to their website. Not sure for those that have been there; they also offer a rewards program for each time you stay and as far as I know they do not expire.

One side note- food is on the pricey side.

“Had a Blast at Wilderness Territory”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2013

Nine of us (including 4 grandkids ages 6-11) spent a delightful 3-day weekend here recently. Wilderness Territory is the biggest waterpark I have seen by far. We picked it because of all the activities it has to offer besides the 3 indoor waterparks. Since it was Easter weekend, it was very crowded. Had to wait in line to check in. Felt almost overwhelmed at first, but once we checked in, donned our swim suits, & headed to the first waterpark (we played at a different one each of our 3 days), we quickly got acclimated & started our fun. And fun it was! Our grandkids tried everything (the adults tried most of them) -- numerous water slides (including a family one where 4-5 people can "take the plunge" together), bumper boats (complete with water guns), the lazy river, the gigantic wave pool, lazer tag, indoor 3-D miniature golf, the haunted house/mirror maze, & the ropes course. Though there were lots of people, the waterparks are large & have ample tables & chairs so you never felt too squeezed in. Very courteous staff members throughout the water parks, too! Another neat thing about the Wildnerness Territory is that everything is accessible from the inside. Numerous dining options are available as well. Our favorite was "Survivors." Three recommendations if you decide to go here: (1) Buy the "Fun Pass," which allows you to do all the activities & not just those in the waterpark. I bought them when I made reservations & was able to get a free one for every 4 I purchased; (2) Ask for rooms on either the first or third floor. We had side-by-side rooms on the second floor, which is the floor that accesses everything. LOTS of foot traffic! Got noisy at times! The rooms, however, were quite comfortable & spacious. (3) Go ziplining! For $40 per person (discounted because we had a group of 6), it was the best deal at the resort. 3 adults joined 3 of our grandkids (all first-timers) & just raved about the experience. There is a 70# weight limit (one of ours just made it). With a guide at the front of the group & another at the rear, all feltl safe & in good hands. The grandkids just LOVED Calvin!!! You zipline from one tower to the next (5 total, I believe). The huge smiles on everyone's faces after their 1½ hours were priceless. All in all, this is an ideal getaway place to take one's family. There are 4 outdoor parks for the summer months, but 3 were plenty for us to keep busy & happy.

“Lovely Waterpark”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

One of the best water park(s) one can ever visit

I know there are some fancy and famous ones around Wisconsin Dells - but this one is a gem more enjoyable with elegance

We were there during snow time and the wave pool with glass roofs were awesome. You feel like you at a beach but snowing

Good to visit during winter (indoor water park activities)

You don't have to stay there to see their 4 water parks (all walkable in closed walkways)
Some of the hotels (say Atllantis, Hilton Garden Inn) sell tickets to this water park

“Wilderness Resort and Waterpark”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Just spent 3 nights at the Wilderness Resort & Waterpark in Wisconsin Dells, WI. What a great place for a family vacation! There were 2 teen girls with us and they had a blast. The resort has 3 indoor water parks, and there is something for all ages. There is a "wave" pool, there is a "lazy river", there are numerous slides you can use (with or without tubes), there are special areas for the little kids (just the right size slides and water depth), there are bumper boats, mini golf, laser tag, pottery making, etc. etc. There are sit-down restaurants, fast food restaurants, bars, and gift shops. And this is just the indoor activities. During the summer, there is a zip line and huge outdoor water parks. Actually, once you get there, you never need to leave the resort - it has everything you'd ever need. But, if you choose to leave the resort, Wisconsin Dells is a wonderful family town. You could spend weeks there and never do everything they offer, and it is also very educational for the children. They will learn so much about the Dells (which was created by the glaciers in the days gone by) and about the American natives that lived in the area. Take my word for it, it's a GREAT vacation!
