We had been several years ago so it seemed "new" to us. Our room was near the dome with the wavepool. The dome is nice and during the day it feels like it's summertime. After a bit, I moved to a different spot under the umbrella due to the sun beating in. This place is pretty big but you can get to all 3 indoor waterparks without stepping outside. Concessions, bar drinks, and the candy store are expensive but most of the Dell's waterparks are. I recommend going during the week if you can because weekends are pretty crowded. They seemed to be adequately staff ed and had plenty of lifeguards. We enjoyed our stay and will be back in the summer to check out their outdoor waterparks (there is alot there). They also have a "fun pass" for 20.00 that includes bumper boats, ropes course, lazer tag, haunted castle/mirror maze, and two blacklight 3D mini golf areas. It's worth buying the pass. If you bought 3 the 4th was free although that isn't advertised anywhere. The gal who rang me up told me so if they don't mention it, ask. The black light 3D golf is pretty cool. One is pirate themed and the other is "under the sea". Under the sea has several aquariums inside. The mirror maze is dark with spooky sounds playing. You can access the mirror maze without going through the haunted castle. The haunted castle is NOT for young children (my 12 year old wouldn't go) unless your kids like that kind of thing. There aren't any "real people" inside but there are several motion sensored things to startle you.
They offered free kids meals with adult purchases and that included the breakfast buffet. Kids price is 7.50 and adults is 13.50. Beverages are NOT included and are 2.95 each. I'm fussy when it comes to buffets but this was worth the price with enough variety and fresh fruit.

Love it! My family enjoys our trips here a lot! There are lots of things to do for all different age groups. Lots of fun water activities as well as dry! We have gone the last two years and plan on making this our destination for every winter getaway.

We spent two nights at the Wilderness resort, so of course we enjoyed the Wilderness waterparks! Admission to the waterparks is included in your room rate. You can not buy day passes to the Wilderness waterparks, which helps cut down on crowds.

The waterslides are fun,and the lines move fast. The lifeguards were attentive for the most part, but one lifeguard wasn't watching close enough and a little girl (looked to be 2 or 3) went down one of the "treehouse" slides before she was supposed to. I had to point out what had happened to the lifeguard as the little girl went careening down the slide right behind another kid. The lifeguard did immediately blow her whistle to alert the other lifeguards that there was a problem. Fortunately the little girl appeared to be fine. No idea where the girl's parents were in all this.

There are several big whirlpools (kids can and will get in too), and a lazy river that is not nearly as big or neat as the outside lazy river at Glacier Canyon. Also a big wave pool, with huge waves. Watch out, because it's easy to get knocked over by the waves or by other people riding the waves.

Seating can be hard to come by, and the food in the waterpark areas is gross. Floors can be extremely slippery, especially in the bathrooms.

The water is very chilly in the winter. If I am going to pay that much money to stay at a place, I expect the water to be warm enough so I can just walk right in without a chill.

If you have your choice of hotels with a water park to go to this is the best ....the biggest and funnest. plenty of life guards and they seem to do a great job watching over everyone. They have tons to do as a family ..well worth the money, try to get in on a groupon !
