Our family visited the Ghost Outpost during our visit to Wisconsin Dells in late June. This was the single disappointment of our trip. Of all the things the Dells have to offer, this one left us feeling like we wasted not only our money, but our time.
None of us (myself, my husband, our 14-year-old son, and his best friend) found the exhibits to be scary, and I'm known to be a big chicken (at best). The decor on the outside of the building is the best feature this attraction has to offer.
They say hindsight is 20/20, and its true. We should have taken a huge clue from the vastly empty parking lot upon arrival, or from the disinterested fellow at the ticket booth. The only saving grace was that we had buy-1-get-1-free admission on the Dells Fun Card, so at least we didn't pay full price for the 10 minutes of our life we'd have rather had back.
In a word: AVOID. Go mini golfing, go karting, or bowling instead.
