“The Wilderness Hotel and Golf Resort”

My 19yr old Daughter and I just got back from Our yearly Dells trip, 2nd year in a row, We again stayed at the Wilderness, as usual, it was wonderful!! The place is spotless at all times, the staff is constantly cleaning everywhere, even the
parking lot! The staff is especially friendly, even when a fee was charged to our room, that wasn't ours, it was taken off with no problem, check your bill before you leave!! The new Tsunami outdoor wave pool is beyond believable!! We could have spent our whole trip there!! The wilderness offers something for every age!! The wilderness is a bit pricey, but, you never have to leave, considering the price of the other water parks it is worth it!! You can now order Pizza to your room from Sarento's. A 16inch cheese and saugs was $16 and
very good! Not a Chiago pizza, but very good! The Kodiak Kanteen has everything you could want, but it is expensive! We got 4 dipndots(we're addicted!) 2 btls of water and a juice, $22!!!
Our "fancy" meal was at Fields. It was wonderful!! A peacful way to have an elegant dinner! the steak melts in your mouth, they treat you like royalty! Not a place for young children. Very expensive, very worth it!! We will go back every year! We also at at Applebees, in town, food was very good, Service was not, My daughters sierra mist (soda) was pure seltzer water and it took forever
to get a waitress' attention, they were not very busy, but the attitude was as if we were bothering them. The food was very good, price was good, but, I wont go back. Culvers was Great! The highlite was Dennys Dinner!! The treated us like
family, only better, happy, friendly, very very good food, fast, and excellant prices. It was also realy neat to be in, it was like a rock and roll diner.
Outside it is statues of James Dean, Marylin, The Blues bros. and Elvis, Yes, We took cheesy pics in front!! As last year We did the Jet boats!! Its like a tour and a thrill ride all in one!! Not for small children. Our favorite is the Lost canyon tour. Even though its the same thing every year, it is just so nice, the guides are funny, This year We had Matt, the scenery is breathtaking! It is also very reasonable. $7 plus the "if you want to buy something" part of every Dells tour. But the way Matt did it was no pressure and very nice! This year We tried horse back riding at Canyon Creek stables. My experiences in the past were awful! This was Great! They take the time to size you to a horse, make sure you are all strapped in, explain how to guide your horse, everything. Our guide was great, the ride was at least an hour long, very scenic, The old west town you go thru isnt what you are led to believe it will be, cheesy, but its the Dells!! Price was abt $35 for two of us. Anyone can do this, even Me, No expience necessary! Might be boring for expierinced rider, But We loved it!! Parsons Trading Post is a must! Its like being in a museum where you can buy things, prices are good, the owner is very friendly, He even wished us a safe ride home! We had a Great time from start to finish!! If you are like us, and forget things
there is a Walgreens in town, just like home. We also found a Super Walmart!! Good to know!
Can't wait till next year!! Great Mother Daughter trip, Do need to warn you about the Sundara Spa, went there last year, it was horrible. upppity. snobby. treated us like dirt, acted like we did not belong there, was very beautiful, but would never ever go back!!! Didnt mean to end on a bad note, just didn't want to forget!
Till next year,

We had a wonderful time, the kids(11 & 6) could'nt have been more pleased. The rooms were nice and clean, the staff helpful and courteious. It was expensive, but not out of line. We were there on a Sunday and Monday in August. On Sunday it was a little diffcult to find a table and intertube, but not impossible. We did not have any problems with things disappearing. The variety and age range of the water park rides were amazing. The shuttle to get from place to place was helpful. It took me a long time to decide where to stay, I made the right choice. I would recommend the Wilderness to anyone.

We just returned on Aug 14th from our 4th trip to the Wilderness. We learned over the years that the food at the restraunts is not the greatest so we bring our own food. However the last day we ate the Rocky place by the outdoor wave pool and there hamburgers were quite good but still a little pricey! I had a bad experience this year with one of the management staff when inquiring about reserving our rooms for next year - she treated me so poorly that I was not going to come back but I went to the other desk at the New Frontier and was treated cordially and all my questions were answered. We will be going back next year again - The children love it too much!~

We have stayed at the Wilderness approximately 5 times over the last eight years and have always enjoyed our stay until this year. We encountered numerous problems. Our room wasn't completely cleaned and the balcony was disgusting (food and cigarette buds). The temperature outside was cold (55 degrees)so we had to used the indoor waterparks, which was one of the reasons we chose the Wilderness. The air temperature was cool when you entered the waterparks and the water was even colder; so, we had to search for one that was at least warm when you entered the park. We finally found one park (Baby Bear) that the air temperature was warm. After about 1/2 hour in the park, the life guard opened the outside door which immediately cooled down the park and our children started to shiver. When checking out, I noticed an additional charge on our bill. The charge was corrected, but I never received a "sorry for your trouble". Just, "we will check into it to make sure it isn' t yours." These are just some of the problems I encountered; unfortunately, I think the Wilderness has gotten bigger than it can handle.

My wife and I took our children, in-laws, and 10 grandchildren to the Wilderness Resort this past weekend. What an awsome time we all had. We had 5 rooms in the Wild West section next to the outdoor waterpark. Plenty of fun things to do. Staff was great. Six of us played 18 holes at the Wilderness Golf Club. What a beautiful and challenging course to play. This is our second year at the Wilderness with this group and we all look forward to coming back next year.

This was our first stay at The Wilderness Resport and we had a great time. The indoor/outdoor waterparks were a blast for my husband and I and our 4-year old daugther. We arrived on Sunday and left on Wednesday so it wasn't over crowded. Our room was fine and liked that it had a mini refrigerator. We'd like to come back in the winter for a short get-a-way.
