Anita and David are extremely friendly innkeepers with a very nice bed and breakfast. Last weekend was our second stay and they had remembered us from the previous year. They are keen on bicyclists and motorcyclists, as they are near some great trails and roads for each. Please stay with them a night to see how a great B&B is operated.

Well, we thought the highlight of our weekend of biking the Elroy-Sparta State Trail was going to be the.....biking. We were mistaken! Oh my goodness....Amil's Inn was so lovely, and most relaxing. Anita and Dave's farmhouse has been "remodeled" to suit today's desired amenities, however has lost NONE of the older charm. We were given a tour when we first arrived and enjoyed hearing about how the farm has passed through the family and all the changes that have been made. You realize immediately that this B & B is a labor of love for the entire family. The lawn and flowers are amazing, the garden to be envied and the breakfast was to die for! An added bonus for us was the wonderful front porch. Both evenings after a full day we "retired" to the porch with a beer in hand, some munchies and reading material...something you just don't do in the hustle and bustle of daily life. I must add we DID have a fun biking experience and even snuck in a kayak trip down the Kickapoo River! **** My (now) fiance asked me to marry him our first night at Amil's, which of course makes this B & B even more special. I cannot recommend Anita & Dave's Amil's Inn enough. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Amil's Inn is a cozy place, and old farm property converted to a B&B in the 1990's. The main house has been updated/modernized with four well decorated rooms, each with private baths. Three of the room even have a Jacuzzi. But don't let the modern appointments fool you -- there is a lot of history here. And when we asked, our host, Anita, had many stories to tell. Although it is more of a garden now than a farm, the setting is charming and the breakfast was excellent.

The Inn is very close to the Sparta-Elroy bike trail ( a couple of miles), one of it's best features. Because it is near the midpoint, it is an easy ride east or west and back, whatever you prefer. We would recommend this Inn to anyone interested in exploring the nearby bike trail. The comfort, convenience and reasonable price can't be beat!

Room Tip: Three of the four rooms have queen beds. A/C is central, works great on a hot summer day.

This home has been lovingly restored by the owners and is both charming and comfortable. The location is peaceful and absolutely beautiful. The food was delicious. The innkeepers are two of the nicest people you will ever meet! We had a wonderful experience--hands-down our best bed and breakfast experience ever!

Planning our biking weekend on the Elroy-Sparta State Trail had been on our list for a long time. When we finally found a weekend to hit the trail, we wanted to be sure to find a comfortable, cozy place to stay on Friday and Saturday nights. We were thrilled with finding Amil's Inn Bed & Breakfast in Wilton, WI. It can be found a few miles off of the trail - right in the middle of the trail, and it is absolutely wonderful. The hosts, Dave and Anita, are gracious, warm, kind and generous. Their B&B is so comfortable and is surrounded by the gently rolling hills of the Driftless Zone of SE Wisconsin - with dairy cows grazing on the lush grass and the Kickapoo River meandering throughout the area. And the breakfasts are amazing! Delicious and hearty. It is also in the heart of Amish country with beautiful antique shops and simply crafted, hand-made furniture and crafts. Additionally, the two nearby restaurants - The Blue Goose and The Badger Crossing - are wonderful. We had a lovely weekend at Amil's, if you're in the area, we highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: If it is available, ask for the suite.
