The Idle Hour is something that could easily be glanced over if you don't know it's there, but is definitely worth a visit. It is housed inside a renovated late 19th century building, with pictures and other documented history displayed throughout the restaurant.
The food is simple, a handful of hot sandwiches and salads and such, but by keeping it limited, what they have is delicious. The Idle Hour Reuben is the best reuben sandwich I have had anywhere, and the (seasonal) butternut squash soup is not to be missed. They have an excellent selection of delicious teas, and serve a great cup of coffee.
Overall the Idle Hour is a simple place, with great food, and a good place to spend a few hours in front of a fire with a nice cup of tea or coffee and a few good friends.
