We live in the neighborhood and have walked by this restaurant numerous times, but for some reason, have never gone in. Boy, had no idea what we were missing! Helpful and very pleasant servers, who obviously are proud of the food and focused on making sure you enjoy what you are eating; happy to make suggestions, very attentive. The food - I have never tasted some of these flavors before. It was delicious. My husband ordered the BBQ Kalbi Ribs and I ordered the Combo Plate, which included Kalua Pork and Char Siu Chicken. Both came with purple sticky rice, delicious carrot pineapple slaw and macaroni salad. The flavors of the meat were wonderful, all tender, juicy and such a surprise. Waaaaay too much food for the two of us; next time we will split a meal. The atmosphere is fun. Beyond all of the Hawaiian, vacation like decorations, the dining area is in the old dining room of a vintage home, with an attached store front. Beautiful woodwork, built in china cabinet and stained glass - which fits the neighborhood perfectly. Numerous deli and grocery items are available and displayed throughout the seating area and store front. Our meal was very reasonably priced, and we are certain to go back.
