This has been one of our favorite restaurants for a long time, especially in the summer months when the patio is open. It is a great place for dining with or without children. HOWEVER now the menu changes every month. Favorites that we look forward to ordering are gone. While that can be a good thing (like when they had squash soup....yum!) now it seems like everything has mushrooms (NOT a favorite) added. One of my favorites was the "Little Bucket of Shrimp" as an appetizer and I hope that will come back soon! The chef is very creative and it's always busy so a reservation is suggested unless you are not in a hurry. They have brunch on Saturday and Sunday which is a plus. Important note: they have some of the nicest people working there who are friendly and helpful and deserve a good tip!

I love Wauwatosa, I really like going to all of the Lowlands group restaurants. Cafe Hollander is a great choice when you are taking children but still want to feel like an adult and have a decent meal.
GREAT bloody mary's, Charming atmosphere, outdoor seating.
The food is really fantastic. All of the Lowland group restaurants have excellent burgers, the beef is exceptional. Fries/Frites cannot be beat.

7 ladies...not one of us disappointed. Great food, great service...great atmosphere. Came here on a Tuesday night...we had reservations, which I highly suggest...because the place was hopping! Huge beer selection...Irish pub style. Waitress was very informative...Decent pricing, will definitely be back!

We ate their with our son, daughter-in-law and our 13 month old grandson. It was an absolutely miserable day--raining and cool, so no outdoor dining! We were led to a table in the corner (nice with a baby, so he wouldn't bother too many other people) overlooking the river. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the many, many beers on the menu and the 4 of us found interesting beers to try. It took us forever to decide, partly because we only received 2 drink menus and had to keep passing them back and forth.

We ordered cheese curds as an appetizer, which really went well with the beers! Our service was very prompt, always appreciated with a baby! When my daughter-in-law asked for some crackers for the little guy, our waitress returned with 2 small pieces of toast, apologizing for not having crackers. Nice! I had the grilled steak wrap with fries and both were very good.

We look forward to returning in better weather!

Very busy place on the weekends; great selection of beer; nice outdoor seating; good menu; love their fish tacos during the Friday Fish Fries. The potato chip crusted fish wasn't my favorite. Service is adequate when busy, better when not.
