My wife and I went there before a concert. We did not make reservations, but arrived fairly early (5:15 pm or so). There were no tables available without reservations, so we wound up at the bar. The barkeeps were friendly and made us feel welcome, even though they were extremely busy with drink, food, and take-away orders. It's a good thing we were not in a hurry, as the service was a bit relaxed at times. My wife ordered a Magner's cider, and I had a glass of Foppiano petite sirah to go with the appetizer, a Nosh for two. It had a nice selection of charcuterie, cheeses, and dried fruits. My wife had the Acapulco Avocado salad with chicken breast added, and I had pork with lentils and spinach served in a bowl, and a glass of Cosentino THE Cab. Both were tasty, but the salad arrived wihout avocados and without chicken! When we pointed this out, they apologized and (eventually) brought out the missing items. They did not charge us for the salad and offered us a dessert also to make up for the slip. We did not have time or appetite to accept, so they substituted a couple of free drink tokens for our next time back. Of course we'll go back, since this is not our first visit and we've seen better service at other times. We will probably make a reservation so we can get a table.
It's a bit crowded and noisy for a really special night, but as a casual place it works well. The people next to us at the bar were friendly and chatty, which made the evening more fun.
The drinks and cocktails looked interesting. The wine list is small but well-chosen, with choices like the Cosentino cab by the glass that are unusual to see.
It's located just at the eastern edge of Wauwatosa, with a parking lot east of the building. There is a sign that you shouldn't leave valuable things visible in the car. It's a good idea no matter where you are.
