After being named one of the top 30 restaurants in Milwaukee, Le Reve doesn't need my good review, but I'm going to give it one anyway. We were seated immediately upstairs and each ordered a glass of wine. There were so many interesting dishes to choose from, but I ended up with the Legume Printaniers Crepe, which had asparagus, mushroom, parmesan cheese and a basted egg. The blend of flavors and textures was just wonderful. My friend had been to Le Reve before and had issues with the onion soup, but agreed that her mussels and beet salad (2 things I would NEVER order) were quite good, except the beets were canned instead of fresh, which you would expect in beet season. We also split a great dessert, a key lime coconut meringue creation that was beautiful and tasty.
