We have been stopping at this venue for over 30 years, back when it was a Howard Johnson's. As Emma Krumbee's it is a very good choice if you're looking for good, reliable, food and service delivered in a pleasant, clean, and comfortable setting. They have a very large menu with lots of comfort foods all at great prices. We have never been disappointed.

We were there this Sunday, Oct 7, 2012. Even though they were busy, we were seated reasonably quickly.

Food was good, but drinks are very overpriced at $2.49 a glass. Even with free refills, the value is not there.

The wait staff is efficient and friendly. This is one of the few spots in Wausau that we go to on a regular basis.

Good job.

Saw advertisement for the place many miles away and decided to stop rather than fast food. Glad we stopped! Food was really good, service pleasant and quick. It is connected to a hotel so might be busy in the morning, we stopped mid afternoon and only a few other tables were used.

We have read good reviews but maybe the great service and good food is saved for regular customers. We went after church on a Sunday and poor service, before and after our order. My omelette was missing flavor, my husb. liked his eggs benedict, and our teen was happy with her food except for the bad service.

We stayed at the connecting Howard Johnson's Inn only to be told AFTER we checked in that Emma K's was shut down that evening by the health inspectors because of something to do with their ovens. We planned on eating at the restaurant that Saturday night after checking in, but then after we checked in had to find somewhere for supper. Very disappointing!!! Nobody let us know that they reopened the next morning, as the coffee maker in the room was musty and we needed a cup of coffee. How very disappointing. We had a bad experience all around, with the restaurant and adjoining Hotel. Never again!!!
