Prairie Home Cemetery
Ranked #8 of 24 things to do in Waukesha
Attraction details
Reviewed June 3, 2014

I could not believe this find. Unfortunately, it is at a Cemetery, however, it is the internment site of Les Paul. Mr. Paul grew up in Waukesha, and his grave site resides in the middle of this tiny cemetery. The granite marker surrounding the grave site is etched with all of his musical accomplishments. He is buried next to his mother, and his real last name; Lester William Polsfuss, is on his tombstone. If you are fortunate, (Tuesday or Wednesday) mornings you may just meet a famous musician who come to the grave site to pay their respects, and leave behind guitar picks.
