This is our favorite German restaurant and one of our favorites overall. The interior is warm and beautiful. The staff is professional and very friendly. The food is first class and authentic. We LOVE the sausage feast. The red cabbage is amazing! The sauerkraut is the best that I have ever tasted. The German potato salad is outstanding. I cannot say enough about this place. Highly recommended!

We had a fine time. Two had the fish fry, two had German dishes. The food, people and atmosphere were great. It was a nice reminder of our trip to Germany last Summer. Go early if you want to get a table right away.

Nice atmosphere and service. However, the German dishes were mediocre to poor, and very pricey. The Jaeger Schnitzel was closer to Pork Teriyaki than anything Deutsche. The Weiner Schnitzel was limp and flavorless. However, the steaks and sausages were good. It was definitely not worth the half hour drive from Milwuakee, which abounds with so many good restaurants.

The family was excited to try some German food and a Wisconsin fish fry. Didn't need a reservation since we went before 5:45 p.m. otherwise you WILL have a wait. I specifically wanted the potato pancakes and was extremely disappointed in them. They tasted awful like they were made with a powdered mix. They should have been crunchy and with substance. This was a change from the last time we went to this restaurant. Then the potato pancakes were as they should be made. Two of us ordered German dishes and one the fish fry. Fish fry was good as was the German dish sampler but the schnitzel emmenthal was dry . The spaezle tasted like it has been sitting a while, not freshly made. However the red cabbage was good and had a subtle cinnamon flavor. We did order an appetizer of German cheeses which was good and the bread basket was fine. After our meal we waited while all the tables around us which had seated after us were emptied and cleared. I had to leave the table for a short period and that was when our server finally returned to bag our leftovers and give us our bill. I doubt we will be going back anytime soon. We were not impressed with the food but the atmosphere was cozy and nice and our server was pleasant.
