Beautiful room, cozy bar and creative, inviting menu. It's all downhill from there.

The "Trout Finger" appetizer was blandly breaded yet the trout was still nonetheless overpowered and tasteless.

The person who ordered the Pecan Crusted Whitefish lived it but was on the toilet all evening.

My pork chop was of good quality, however the preparation was once again overpowering and obscured the taste of the meat.

We did not have coffee or dessert and just wanted to leave.

We had reservations and had to wait just a few minutes for our table. Wait staff were polite and efficient. I ordered the rib eye and it was fabulous. A salad of greens with incredible vinaigrette dressing started the mean. My steak came with roasted baby red potatoes and asparagus which were perfectly cooked. Our table of six shared a peach cobbler as we were all so satiated, and it was to die for!. Will definitely return here.

Wonderful restaurant just north of Washburn. They especially cater to the schedule needs of guests planning to attend performances at Big Top Chautauqua a few miles away. We had lovely food (great L. Superior fish) and wine, and the cocktails were great too. Beautiful older home, as others have noted, decorated with interesting paintings from a local painter (owner of the Karlyn Gallery in Washburn.) The only fly-in-the-ointment is that they do not split checks, an irritation for our multi-couple group. Otherwise, a lovely experience.

A fantastic little restaurant, right outside of Washburn. We've eaten here several times, and every time is wonderful. The food is consistently delicious, with a creative but not too trendy menu. The waitstaff is always accommodating to families with small children, food allergies, family photo ops, you name it. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and dressy but not stuffy or pretentious. A great find!

We decided on this restaurant because we found it very unique and intruiging! Nice old home charm in the country - you would never guess it was a restaurant! Service was great, food was amazing! We had the meatloaf...amazing! The crem brulee - highly recommended!! The Moscow Mule was such a neat drink - tastes like a mojito, but is made with handmade vodka, mint and ginger beer served in a copper cup. The copper cup kept it amazingly cold. Loved the atmosphere, even though we were a younger couple and most of the other people in there were ederly. Worth the stop, and it made our vacation memorable!
