The Viroqua Heritage Inn is located only 100m or so from Main Street and offers great and large rooms in a Victorian / Edwardian building. Overall my experience was positive and I would stay again but the Inn suffers, like many other buildings of its kind, from a lot of clutter, shabby-chic items, dusty plastic flowers etc, all of which distract from some of the nice features and furniture and somewhat dampen the otherwise elegant ambiance.

My daughter, mother, and I spent two nights and enjoyed everything about our stay! Our room was clean and very comfortable. The house and room decor is vintage and so beautiful. Even though breakfast is not offered in May, coffee and fruit was available in the morning, and a fridge available for your own food if needed. The hostess was very helpful and met us on arrival to get us oriented. This part of Wisconsin is beautiful and the small towns have great local and organic options. Outdoor activists are popular in the area as well. We ventured into the farming areas and found several Amish greenhouses with spectacular spring plants for sale. This B &B was just perfect, really exceptional both in accommodations and location. Highly recommended!

We were so happy to have tried the Heritage Inn in Viroqua. We travel to Viroqua once a month and we have been staying at some really dreadful places ~ until now! When we first pulled up, we had a really bad attitude and we were scared it might be haunted but as soon as we walked in we were really surprised at how beautiful the inside was and our attitudes changed around 100 percent ~ we were so excited to stay there. We stayed in the Charlotte room and it was clean and comfortable as well as having so many interesting things to look at! We were so excited to sleep there after having stayed at some really disappointing places. The Inn Keeper was Renato and he made us feel very much at home. This was our first experience with a Bed and Breakfast and we are SOLD! I have booked the next 4 months with them in the same room. Also it is close enough when it gets nice out to walk over to the downtown area where we can eat and explore.

Room Tip: Charlotte's Room is really, really nice but it is on the first floor right across from the front...

We were only able to stay one night in the beautiful Charlotte's Room. So many lovely things to look at. Viroqua is a very friendly rural town with many friendly people and places to visit. Nancy was very friendly and welcoming when we entered the Inn. She suggested places to visit and shop. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay for the complete breakfast but what we had was wonderful. We hope to come and stay longer again sometime. Carol and George

Room Tip: Charolotte's room is easy access on the ground floor. Beautiful rounded windows and huge comfy...

The Inn was clean and cheerful. Marly was our hostess and so accommodating. She recommended the Driftless Cafe which was excellent and then a few other excursions of specific interest for us. We slept well, and breakfasts were so good. Marly even made a special gluten free breakfast for me each day and it was always delicious. We felt right at home and we will be back.

Room Tip: The Seevers Room has a jaccuzi and a warm old fashioned (but gas), stove. It was so warm and comfy i...

My wife and I stayed at the Viroqua Heritage Inn (Eckhardt House) during our honeymoon, and we had a delightful time! The building is a quirky old house, painted in bright colors inside and out. Our room was delightfully decorated in Victorian style, very spacious, with a wonderfully comfortable bed, spacious and well-equipped bathroom, large dresser and large recent-model TV. This is a family-owned business, and the staff was attentive to our needs and very friendly.

The Viroqua food co-op is right down the street, and we bought chocolate and strawberries for late-night snacking. Later that night, we drove a few miles out of town to watch the stars together from the edge of a field. Marvellous!!!

I recommend this establishment unreservedly.

We stayed at the Eckhardt House Bed and Breakfast which is one of two homes that are part of the Heritage Inn. We stayed 3 nights at this lovely inn, and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The Inn is decorated in the vintage style of the era of the home. Our bedroom had a very comfortable bed and full bath, television, and WiFi. Our hostess, Nancy, was wonderfully attentive, and a great cook. The morning breakfasts were plentiful, and kept us full until dinner! Veroqua itself is an interesting town. Small, but friendly, and with Nancy's help, we found plenty to do in the area. We hope to return again someday!
