You'd be forgiven if you didn't expect to find great pizza in northwest Wisconsin, but this is cheese country after all, and pizza is nothing without quality, local cheese. That's probably why I'd take a slice from a backroad Wisconsin bar over a Big Apple pie any day. With lots of bar food establishments in the area (not to mention the handful of Italian restaurants in Cumberland) there's a lot to choose from on your cabin weekend to get your pizza fix. Jane's tops them all. Expect hand-made crusts, a zesty sauce, and local mozzarella so fresh and stringy you need to wrap it around your fork to keep it all in once piece. You'll pay a little extra, but it'll be well worth it.
