We stayed at the casino hotel because we were going to a wedding in the area, and the pickings were slim that weekend. I know there are few options in this part of the state, but this was bad. The room was dirty and run down. The worst was the bed. We are a younger, fit and active couple. It was springy and wore out so that we both rolled to the middle. I have slept better on the ground. We were up at 6 am the next morning simply because we could not sleep on it (we had planned to sleep in after staying later at the wedding). Service was also poor - I wanted to ask for some directions that night, and the line of people at the desk was just too long. And it wasn't that a deal, price-wise. Never again.

If the casino is your objective, this is the only place we saw to stay nearby. It is a short walk from the hotel to the casino, plus they provide a shuttle if you prefer not to walk. It provides a no frills room but it seems clean. We took advantage of a super good coupon rate and so two nights cost less than a single night elsewhere. The sheets are thin as are the towels, and some of the towels are tattered with frayed edges and threads pulled. The furniture is somewhat scarred and scraped and little details of obvious repairs made the rooms seem older. Our biggest complaint was the beds. They were so HARD that we couldn't get a good night's sleep. We were also awakened in the middle of the night by noisy guests returning from a late night of gambling. Breakfast was the usual fare with the addition of biscuits and sausage gravy. We will be reluctant to stay there again because of the beds.

Room Tip: I think every room is as good as every other.

Walking distance from the Casino, this hotel was clean, the beds comfortable and the service was great. They have a shuttle to the Casino which was kind of funny to us since it's only a block away but a lot of older people stay there and go to the Casino. We did take the shuttle a couple of times and must say - the shuttle drivers were awesome! So friendly and helpful with information!

They do have a REALLY nice pool !!!

And a REALLY good "Continental Breakfast". Most hotels I have been to serve muffins juice and coffee, maybe fruit. But here they had boiled eggs, bisquits and gravy, cereal, fruit, yogurt, all kinds of toast (and a toaster) all kinds of juice and milk and you can make your own waffles !!

I am from Los Angeles...this is not a fancy hotel by California standards but it is a very nice place in rural wisconsin and I would stay again if I went through that area.

Oh, and the casino is fun. Good food. An area with a live band...quite extensive for the area it is in

A nice hotel in a very small town. Most people stay here due to the casino being next door but it has a very nice indoor pool. No room service but you can buy a frozen pizza at the front desk and then use the free pizza ovens in the lobby. Room rate was cheap but it was Monday.

The rooms were clean but a little run down. The air quality was so-so. If you have casino package deal this is a okay place to stay. It kind of reminds me of an older unremodeled 1960s hotel. The pool was big and spa was nice. The weekends are totally booked. We had a Sunday through Thursday package deal from the casino. I would check online before booking for a decent rate.

Your basic hotel with cheap amenities like soap, shampoo and lotion. Wi-Fi isn't bad, and there are more TV channels than most in this price class. Continental breakfast is mediocre, but will fill your tummy if hungry. Beds were better than most cheap hotels. Not many lodging options in this town....

We stayed here during a snowmobile trip to Turtle Lake. Have 2 teens so asked for a suite. It was like a small 1 BR apartment! Seperate BR w/ king bed & newer TV. Queen pull out sofa bed in large living room w/ newer TV. One huge bath off BR with jaz. tub & huge walk-in shower. Plus 1/2 bath off living room, wet bar, small frig. All for $90/ weeknight w/ AARP ten percent discount. Twenty percent if you have a St Croix Casino club card upon check in.

Heating system was very quiet. Large pool looked nice (didn't use it). Sofa bed was very soft but tolerable. Very poor (worn) sheets, blankets, + frayed towel in bathroom were disappointing to see in such a nice room.

The shuttle to the overflow trailer parking and nearby casino (walkable) is about every 10 mins. Really, it is. Continential breakfast is simple. WiFi did not work in room nor in lobby.

Peeked in the regular hotel rooms and they look pretty standard. For the extra few dollars, this Suite was well worth it!

Their web site says each suite is "themed" but was told they are not (and ours wasn't).
