We made reservations and were seated immediately. That was the only part of the experience that was pleasant. We had two waitresses who were very nice but some of us ordered French onion soup and some ordered cream of mushroom soup. French onion just broth, Melba toast. Mushroom was watered down cream of mushroom soup out of a can. Couldn't get a second drink so one of us walked up to the waitress station and stood. Owner saw him standing there and just ignored him. She never did come over. Poor...Poor management. Twice baked potatoes old. Steaks mediocre. Shrimp so so, but the old way they prepared them was much better. Place is for sale and priced way too high. Good luck selling with poor food and management. Don't mind spending money on good food, but this place needs an overhaul.

Reservations for 15. We all arrived and asked if we could have a drink at the bar first, hostess said no we'd like you to go to the table to keep things moving. Ok not a single sole in dining room. So we ordered drinks at bar while hostess stood behind us with hand on her hip. Went to dining room ordered food some wanted agrauten potatoes server says sorry our broiler is broke, ok my girlfriend orders broiled scallops. How can you have broiled scallops without a broiler? No answer. Anyway they were cooked ok. I had french onion soup or should I say french onion water. It was beef broth few onions a Melba toast cracker on top and handed me a shaker of Parmesan cheese!!! Really people it's a supper club get it right!!! The twice baked potato tasted and looked like it was twice baked the week before!! The kicker is they actually have pink laminated cards on all the tables saying when you have finished with your meal please go to the bar area to have your coffee or after dinner drinks!!!! BEEN GOING HERE FOR YEARS AND WILL NEVER RETURN!!!

We were told that Bootleggers was an awesome restaurant: great atmosphere and great food. That was so far from the truth!! We arrived at 6:20 pm and figured that there would be a wait, but that was an understatement. We put our names on the list and decided to wait in the bar and sip on cocktails. What a cluster! The restaurant had a huge bar and the bartenders were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. We waited our turn in the middle of the bar, while watching the three bartenders’ running back and forth from one end of the bar to other. Numerous times, the bartenders would get close, and then wait on the person next to us that just walked up there. Finally, 25 minutes later, a bartender asked if we would like a drink, only after we pointed out that we had been waiting for a while. The bartender then proceeded to scolded one of the members of our group, saying they were doing the best that they could do. With drinks finally in hand, we decided to check the list to see how long the wait would be. They told us that we were number six of six for a six top table and they didn't know how long the wait would be. We decided to have another drink. One of the bartenders took away one of our drink glasses without asking if we wanted another. We had to flag the bartender down again to get another drink. After waiting for an hour, we decided to check the list again, this time we moved up to number five on the list. The staff finally explained that they don't take any reservations. They seat people by the number of people in the group, so there was a list for groups of two, groups of three, and so on. At this point, it has been an hour and a half and we kept noticing the people around us were going to eat but we were still there. We decided to get our tab; the bartender told us that we were going to have to wait where ever we went to. We went to the restaurant down the road and were seat in less than five minutes. The only people that I would recommend Bootleggers to would be the crew at Restaurant Impossible!! Maybe they can fix it!

we were a group of sixteen celebrating our parents 60th wedding annivesary and it was a memorable experience. The restaurant sits on a lake and as we were in the bar having cocktails and enjoying the view and the delicious cocktails. we went out to the patio and took many family photos with the most perfect backdrop.you7 are right outside of town but feelas though you are in the middle of nowhere. The dinner was delicious many had pasta and the steaks were delicious the service was very good considering the large group. The ddecor of the restaurant was quite lovely playing on the 20' 30' 40's all in all our experience was great and we would most definitely come back.

Went Sat. April 27th dinner. The PrimeRib meat is sub-sub prime maybe "select" grade judging from all the grizzle and overall poor quality. For $22.00 per plate I expect to be able chew the meat. When the manager came by to inquire how everything was I told him it was flavorful but extremely "chewy". He offered to recook my piece of meat. ???? nothing was going to soften or make that meat edible. Nice to look at but pass on the food.
