“Below average service for Hampton Inn”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

As a Diamond Member, I've stayed at quite a few Hampton Inn's and I have to say that this hotel is by far the worse Hampton that I have ever stayed at, and the only one that I will not stay at a second time. Upon check in there were no warm cookies. Hampton Inn's always have cookies at the front desk in the evening. I discovered at 10:30pm that my TV did not work. After a call to the front desk followed by two trips to the front desk for battery changes in the remote, still no TV. I was told that the buttons on the TV to turn it on, change channels, etc are deactived by the hotel. I was also told that the TV in the loby did not work so there was no way to check my remote. I was not offered a new room. After I explained that $109.00 was quite a bit of money to pay for a room with no TV, I was responded to with "I don't know what to tell you". In the morning there was no breakfast bag for guests. I have never stayed at a Hampton Inn that did not have breakfast bags in the morning. My room was clean and quite, but the amenities and quality of service were that of an economy hotel.

We apologize for the quality of services you received during your recent stay. We value all guests including our Hhonors members. I’m truly sorry for the level of customer service you received when alerting us to the broken TV. We are currently working on the malfunctioning TV in your guest suite and have discussed the concerns with front desk staff and our maintenance team. As Hampton Brand Standards mandate, we offer breakfast bags from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday through Friday. Our guests can notify us if they would like a to-go bag and one is not currently displayed at the desk . With 9 hotel chains belonging to the Hilton Brand it is easy to confuse all of the standards. There are a lot of Hilton brand hotels that must, according to Brand Standards, offer fresh cookies. Hampton seems to be moving in that direction, and I am sure it's only a matter of time before all Hampton Inn hotels are required to have cookies too. We hope you will reconsider staying with us at again the next time you return to the area.

Very nice, new hotel in a sort of odd location on the edge of Tomah. Front Desk staff is top-notch, especially David in the evenings. Beds and comforters super comfortable. Great breakfast! Bathrooms are good size.

I believe that the "odd location" you are referring to is our street name Buan St. This street name rarely shows up accurately in a GPS, phone, or any navigation system. We apologize for this, as it is one of the cons to building a new hotel on a new street. We hope that soon the data bases will be updated and Buan St. will be easier to locate. Until then, just remember we are only a phone call away when you lose your way.

Also thank you for the compliment!

This Hampton Inn is the best we've ever stayed in. Wonderfully comfortable beds, great breakfast. The in-room booklet explaining hotel amenities and surrounding area was the best we've ever seen. Great job to whoever put that together! I highly recommend this place!

Room Tip: Staff is very accommodating to any needs.

Travelling with my parents, first floor is great. We had 2 rooms on the first floor near an exit that were both handicap accessible. Very clean. A little small, but all you need. There were several teen age girl soccer teams at the hotel and it was no problem at all. In fact, kind of fun. Went to check on early so the parents could take a rest, their room was ready. No hassle. Staff was bery friendly. Breakfast was plentiful with something for everyone.
