This was our first B & B. What a beautiful place. The owners Dan and Vicki made us feel so welcome.
Vicki did an amazing job on breakfast both mornings we were there. We will definately be back. 1st time in Door County in the winter. Was worried there wouldn't be much to do but we were happily proven wrong. if you get the chance check out AJ's trolly tours. 5 hr tour, 3 winery's and a horse drawn sleigh ride....unforgetable!!

Room Tip: we got to see all of the rooms when we got there as we had the place to ourselves the 1st night. Ea...

We stayed at the Scofield over the New Year's holiday. The building is beautiful and beautifully decorated, especially around the Christmas season. The owners were extremely nice, and wonderful cooks. The portions are also huge, so you may not want to make lunch plans. You do sit with other couples at breakfast, but most who have stayed at b&bs will probably be used to that.

Being a renovated house, the rooms are fairly close together. However, each has its own bathroom and we didn't experience any noise issues.

Additionally, if you decide to take one of the trolley tours, they will pick you up right from the Scofield. If you decide to go hiking, etc. it's about 15/20min from Cave Point/White Dunes and 30 or so from Peninsula.

All in all, a great place to stay--especially at winter rates.

Schofield House B&B is truly a marvelous place to stay. The rooms are well decorated and exceptionally clean. Beds and furnishings are quite comfortable. The artwork and decorations throughout the inn are very nice. Breakfast is served in 2 dining areas and is excellent. Hosts are friendly, helpful, and respectful. We will certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: We made a late reservation and even though we stayed in the smallest room, it was quite comfortable...

Our family spent the days after Christmas at the Scofield Guest House across the street. The house is beautiful, historic, immaculate and well stocked with everything we needed! I have always dreamed of living in a historic house and truly felt at home, I could have stayed days longer. Dan and Vicki were so welcoming and were very accommodating. It is only a few blocks away from shops and restaurants and we felt like locals for a few days. I truly can't wait to go back...this time in summer!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay and memories our family will have for a lifetime!!!

We arrived at Scofield house and were greeted with large, fresh cookies, and a variety of hot drinks, which is great in during a Wisconsin winter. The home was well-preserved, like a great museum. We were invited to check out all of the rooms, since we arrived pretty early in the evening, and all of the rooms were beautiful. The room at the top of the stairs was immense - some day we'll splurge and stay in that room. We stayed in the Rose room, which is one of the larger rooms, and it was perfectly romantic. Beautiful draperies, bed sheets, sofa, gas fireplace, and a large bathroom with both a shower stall and a large 2-person whirlpool. We had a wonderful breakfast of stuffed french toast, a sausage link, fresh strawberries, a variety of juices, and a large blueberry muffin. It was our 4th B&B experience, and we hope to go back again because it was a great experience.

This was our first stay at a B&B and were truly amazed at the service and how beautiful the house was! Really enjoyed having the opportunity to look at all the rooms. We decided on the Gazebo room based on some reviews and having our own outside entrance. Definitely looking forward to coming back again sometime!

This was our first stay in a B & B, and it was a great experience. We were both very impressed with the house, hospitality and amazing breakfast! Both of us slept very well, and we left with a full belly. The room is small (blue room), but its very warm and cozy. The whirlpool tub was definitely big enough for the two of us to enjoy after an evening of walking around exploring Sturgeon Bay in the cold, crisp autumn weather. The price is great for what you get: beautiful house, great hospitality, snacks & coffee/tea/soda available 24/7, and a wonderful breakfast that will leave you full! We definitely recommend this place, and we will be back to stay in the future!
