We have stayed in 3 different rooms at the Inn and loved everyone of them....they are very clean and have very nice bedding...big fat comforters lots of pillows and very comfortable. The staff is sooo friendly it feels like your staying with friends the breakfast is to die for. Breakfast is served to the people that have stayed at the Inn in the breakfast room a separate room from the restaurant and you are served by the Inn keepers. When they bring you your drinks they have a basket filled with huge muffins, a very large granola type cookie but soft, and best of all "The Morning Bun" Oh My God, We'd stay just for the bun....but besides that they offer with the basket goodies an egg dish that changes daily as well as a spin on pancakes or french toast. Coffee, tea, soft drinks are available all day free of charge and a plate of fresh baked cookies are out in the afternoon which was a nice treat after running around all day. And If thats not enough they have fresh pop corn every night in the game/reading/computer/fireplace room. Like I said as though your staying with friends. We love the Inn and will return. You will not be disappointed.

We spent a night in this B&B's "Magnolia Room," which is beautifully furnished with antiques and a very comfortable bed. We've been to Door County a number of times, but had never stayed in Sturgeon Bay. We were there very early in the season and in the middle of the week, so we peeked in the unoccupied rooms, which are left open for guests to see. Each room is unique and they vary in size and furnishings. Ours was one of the smaller rooms, but we were very comfortable. What we liked best was the incredibly friendly staff, who catered to us and visited with us in the breakfast room . We also enjoyed the morning bun and hot breakfast and the afternoon cookies, all of which were included in the cost of the room. We look forward to staying at the Inn the next time we visit Door County.

My fiance and I ate at this restaurant this weekend while vacationing in Door County. It was a complete waste of time and money.

We should have ordered a pizza from our room and called it a night after being unable to get into our new favorite restaurant (we should have made a reservation! It was packed!) that's located down the street. But instead we walked down to the Inn and waited about 45 minutes for a table (though tables were empty throughout the restaurant and no reservations were coming in to be seated...), apparently much to the hassle of the hostess. She was rude and dismissive of us the entire time we waited and as we tried to make small talk and get opinions on where to visit in Northern Door County the next day.

After being seated we were ignored by our waitress for 20 minutes. Her attitude clearly spoke of hating her job and disdain for her customers. The food was absolutely terrible, especially for the price they charged. While they state on their website that their food is made from scratch, one taste says otherwise...

The final straw came when I went to the bathroom after I finished my dinner. The ladies bathroom was filthy! The toilets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while and the floor was gross.

Overall, I am very disappointed that I wasted part of my vacation in this unsatisfying, over-priced, dirty establishment where all of the staff are rude.

We live in Sturgeon Bay and have stopped to eat here on a number of occassions this past summer. The food was always good, the service was very prompt and friendly, and they were flexible with describing menu options and what would be an alternative to something we were thinking about.

It also was very friendly to our two young children when we've taken them which is refreshing.

Overall, we've had a number of excellent meals and wonderful drinks there. If you go be sure to ask the bartender for a Lemon Drop Martini. They are to die for.

This is listed as a bed and breakfast on Trip Advisor, but when when we were in Sturgeon Bay it "appeared" to be a lovely little place on the main street to stop in and have breakfast. It looks like a quaint little bakery/restaurant. Well, looks can be deceiving. We were there with our two well-behaved children. It took a little while to be seated, although there wasn't anyone waiting ahead of us, so that should have been our first clue. Then we were seated at a table located at the front of the restaurant. Here's the amazing part. We sat there for AT LEAST 10 minutes, and no one bothered to serve us, or even acknowledge our presence. (We're pretty patient people.) There was a waitress that went around our table several times, but not a word to us. It seemed a little uppity. Maybe they don't serve to families with children. (?) Regardless, we walked out, went across the street and ate at the Pudgy Seagull. (Yes they serve families with children.) Once we left, my husband told me that there were actually servers standing around at the back of Inn at Cedar Crossing. They were just hanging around peering out from the back doorway. Our advice: don't waste your time especially if you're hungry and you have kids. (There were no children's items on the menu by the way) and the other menu items were pricey.

I grew up in Door County and was back for my 20 year high school reunion. I have family up the peninsula but it was too far to drive after the festivities. I have had breakfast here on many previous visits and it has always been very very very delicious. I was excited to stay and had high expectations. My husband and I have stayed at wonderful Chateaux in Europe... this Inn is on par! We booked the smallest least expensive room, the Billy Mitchell. We were DELIGHTED! Very very comfortable bedding, clean, large welcoming room, flat screen tvs with dvd player! The staff is friendly and helpful. There are dvds to borrow in the Common Room... Internet at no charge! .. The location is ideal for shopping and walking to and from almost anywhere... and the FOOD.... amazing! The bartenders are fantastic with a great selection of 'non-mainstream' selections. I simply cannot say enough positive things about this Inn. The only way it could be better is if it had some grounds to walk around and enjoy. Don't miss this special treat.

We'd originally planned to stay 4 nights but cut our losses after one night and moved on. Due to the combination of street noise (the inn is on a downtown intersection), air conditioning that really didn't work and a noisy uncomfortable bed, it was impossible to get a good night's sleep (and that was with a sleep aid!).

Breakfast was lackluster at best, even though the breakfast area was charming and bright - the hazelnut french toast that sounded so wonderful was dry and tasted as if it had been cooked ahead of time and left to sit. Stale toasted morning buns left as a snack in our room were also a disappointment.

While the photos look lovely, the inn itself looks a bit tired. We're stayed in B&Bs for over 20 years and this is the first time we've ever decamped.
