This is the second time my girlfriend and I have stayed at the Chanticleer (first time in August 2005, staying in the Sunflower Suite in the Barn). For this holiday trip, we had the pleasure of enjoying the Grand Suite in the Guest House. A fantastic room with a wood burning fireplace that you can view from the two-person whirlpool tub. Very nicely decorated for Christmas. And the room is unbelieveably spacious...you could easily live in it!!
The Chanticleer staff is wonderful, available to help with questions if you have them and respecting your privacy at all times. The grounds are beautiful with an inground pool and two wooded hiking trails...various options for you to occupy your time onsite. During the summer, they have bikes you can use and, in the winter, snowshoes are available.
There are four suites available in the Barn and four as well in the separate Guest House. We've had the opportunity to peak into all in the Barn and all are fantastic. The Grand Suite in the Guest House certainly is grand and we highly recommend it. Four cabins are also available on separate property in a wooded area across the street from the B&B. Many lodging options for folks on every budget.
It is a serene, relaxing, wonderful place to stay to get away from it all. I would recommend it to any couple looking for a memorable weekend in Door County.More
