My fiance and I just had three wonderful nights at the Chanticleer. The grounds and gardens are so beautiful...there are also lovely hiking trails nearby. I literally felt like I was in a place even more beautiful than in a magazine picture.
The rooms are really charming and comfortable, and everything is well thought out. We stayed in the Garden Suite. When I first booked the room, I was worried that this room would be somehow inferior to the others because it costed the least and it was the only one left, but the room was absolutely exquisite.
The breakfasts in the morning were delicious and completely homemade. The owners and staff were so helpful and friendly.
Coming back to the Chanticleer after some of the hustle and bustle of the touristy parts of Door County was like coming back to a quiet oasis. We are already making plans to come back.

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend in Door County and stayed at the new Chanticleer Evergreen Cabin. The cabin was very cozy and very tastefully decorated. Although it was a 2 bedroom cabin, we only got to see the upstairs bedroom, as the downstairs bedroom and bath doors had been locked since there were only two of us staying. Taking a peek through the windows downstairs, we could tell that the downstairs bedroom was just as wonderful as the upstairs (would be a great retreat for 2 couples). The upstairs bedroom was beautiful and had a great tub for 2, as well as a marble shower that was too nice for words! The cabins are back down a long, secluded road...and was so peaceful! Only us and the deer! We picked up our daily morning picnic basket breakfast and it was very good...not a huge breakfast, but just the right amount. Stuffed french toast the first day was very good! The kitchen at the cabin was stocked very well if you wanted to do your own cooking. Also had a washer and dryer, although I refused to cook or clean while we were there! Nice to have it there, though. The owners were very good to us during our visit, taking time to recommend some great restaurants and making sure we were comfy. Staying at the Cabins, you don't really feel like you're sharing a place with others around you, as you sometimes feel at a typical B&B. You are very secluded. It was the perfect getaway for these two tired parents of young children! We'll definitely return and recommend the Chanticleer!

The Chanticleer Guest House was the perfect B&B to stay at during our visit to Door County. We were taking very good care of during our entire stay. The owners were more than helpful with answering questions and helping us to pick out places to dine at night. There were delicious chocolate chip cookies available to guests around the clock along with healthier fruit baskets. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The pool was also very nice. The breakfasts were undescribable. They deliver "breakfast baskets" every morning to your room at the time you specify. These were the best breakfasts I have every had!! There is a wonderful wooded piece of property that belongs to the owners that is located behind the B&B. You are able to use this area for trial walking/running. I would recommended staying at the Chanticleer to anyone! We will be returning for sure!

Stayed here on dreary days, but we had a great time. The room had a large hot tub, large enough for two. There were always freshly baked cookies and fresh fruit. The breakfast, brought to our room wasleft outside the door for privacy. The food was excellent, and just the right amount. The bed was comfortable and had a unique quilt and furnishings. We were there around Christmas and there was a decorated tree in the room. The atmosphere is indescribable... comfortable, relaxing get away from it all place.

After a horrible experience in another B&B in Sturgeon Bay we were left without a room for our anniversary. The owners at the Chant. were so helpful and so accomodating. They offered us one of their cabins for 1/2 off the price!!!! The cabin was so beautifully decorated, the breakfast in the morning absolutly scrumptous - too bad they don't serve lunch and dinner!! :) They rescued our weekend and our anniverary. We tell anyone and everyone we know to patronize their establishment!!!!
