I came away wondering what was that? It is so totally weird i can not even express it. I would highly recommend you skip this one go to the Frank Lloyd Wright tour. At least there is a value in that tour. If you do go the only section worth seeing is 1 the actual house. Good luck finding any information about the owner, Alex Jordan. I am still wondering who he is.

We've been three times, most recently in August 2009. The overall effect of the place is like visiting a crazy -- and very rich -- uncle's attic. The house itself was the favorite section of our two adult children. It's bizzare, to say the least, like a house of the future built in 1959. The other sections include an incredible array of collectibles and outsized oddities. The downsides are two: (1) there is absolutely no information about any of the exhibits and (2) some unknown proportion of the displayed items are reproductions. The upside is that you get to experience something you've never experienced before.

This attraction wasn't worth the time or money we spent last week. I think your time is better spent just looking at the pictures you see by other viewers. We paid $14 (I think) to see Section 1 of the House on the Rock. We arrived an hour before they closed, and the ticket taker said we would only really be able to see 1 section. Thankfully, we didn't pay the $28 for the Ultimate Experience.
My husband and I really flew thru Section 1 and were done within 15 minutes. Why? B/c there really wasn't much to see. We went thru the house and it was extremely dark and a little close fitting. I am a little claustrophobic and the tight quarters were starting to get to me. Fortunately, it was pretty empty, so I didn't have all the crowds to contend with either.
We saw the Infinity room and were again disappointed. My husband thought we could walk on the glass, but we couldn't. Not to mention the fact that the glass was extremely small to look thru.
The gardens were pretty with all the flowers - but that was it. All in all - not worth the money.

We went to the House on the Rock after spending 4 hours going through the Frank Lloyd Wright estate. Maybe that was our mistake as this seemed dark and dingy compared to Frank Lloyd Wright. Where glad we only did the first section of the tour as the other sections seemed even more weird.
If you step back and actually look at the architecture, the House on the Rock could be amazing, but it is so gaudy and cluttered that it makes it hard to appreciate.

Liked the "House" , especially the Infinity Room, but much of the rest seemed dark and overwhelming. The organ room had organ stuff mixed in with cannons and old distillery machinery. Heritage of the Seas was good, but couldn't tell which stuff was real and which were reproductions. Liked the gun room, but labels would be very helpful.

This place is graet. We spent 7 hours there and could have stayed longer. I have never seen anything like it. Wear good walking shoes. No description or pictures can do it justice. Totaly Unbeblievable
