“Mezmorizing”

I was a young kid the last time I've been to the House on the Rock. While there was much that was the same, it still provided a level of excitement to see all the wonderfully amazing yet strange items that the House on the Rock Offers. It's still an amazing masterpiece on how the House was actually constructed on the Rock albeit a little "dingy." They've added a very nice entrance and new attractions to complement the older ones. We wished the lighting was better throughout all of the inside attractions as it gave off an eery cold feel, and a good number of the machines were not operating. Nonetheless, this is an attraction that is a must see given all the wonderul artificats and history pieces, and ones vision (Alex Jordan) to provide a unique and truly different experience. We did the tour in about 3 hours, but kind of skimmed through the 3rd leg of the tour. I would recommend setting aside about 4 hours to take everything in. We will probably go back in another 10-15 years!

“Awesome”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

This place is chock full of unbelievable collections. Due to time restraints, we only took one tour. It would take several hours and miles of walking to take all three tours. In some areas, the collections seemed to be thrown together without any actual connection and many were not labeled but, overall, it was awesome and we were not disappointed.

“Completely fascinating and crazy”

Really fun, lots of walking, cafes offered at strategic points in the tour (a very nice looking one is called Inspiration Point ... we didn't last long enough to go to that one). Only drawback is that you shouldn't expect museum-quality exhibits -- the collections are displayed largely without labeling or comment. This can be frustrating, especially in the model ship collection. Still, time well spent!

“Can't Understand the Appeal”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 6, 2012

As a Wisconsin resident who had never been there, I had been told repeatedly that I must go, so on a rainy day, I finally did. The amount of stuff there is overwhelming, almost to the point of making one dizzy. Things aren't labeled so one can tell the reproduction artifacts from the genuine in the various collections. The self-playing instruments were wildly out-of-tune in some rooms, making for a most unpleasant listening experience. The ventilation is quite uneven, making it very stuffy in some areas. So now I can say I've been there, but I wouldn't send anyone else there.

“An actual dream comes to life”

This attraction was amazing! Well worth the drive to get there. You could spend almost a full day here. Stroll thru and look at everything slowly so you do not miss anything. It is broken into 3 sections,if you leave one section you cannot go back,so see everything before leaving to move on.You will be completly awed by everything here. His collection is vast and has something for everyone. This man loved music and it shows. You will be completly blown away by the merry go round. Go slow enjoy all exhibits. Bob Anderson
