A friend of ours fell in a pot hole in the parking lot of this dump and hurt herself and her baby. When we tried to report this to the owner he refused to take our call and had his assistant hang up on us. Anyone who is this disinterested in his customers doesn't deserve to be in business. If you choose to go to this place, watch out for pot holes and other hazards. And don't expect the owners to be concerned if you are injured.

Can't tell you what the food was like because we went there twice and never ate! Both times we were seated, waited about 10 minutes for a waitress to show up, she didn't, and we walked out..

My husband and I checked this place out for a very casual dinner.
It was a Friday night and it happened to take place during Sister Bay's Fall Fest, a weekend in which outside activities abound, every lodging establishment requires a minimum 3 night stay and the normally quiet town leaves parking spots difficult to find. We arrived for dinner around 8 p.m. Take all this into account.

The interior* A traditional bar, with very relaxed and colorful bar tenders and minimal bar seating. There are tables in the bar area and a seperate dining room. We were standing around waiting for our pager to go off when our table was ready, but a waitress offered us a table in the bar area as soon as it was cleaned up. That was nice. The bar area has t.v.'s on sports events, northwood themed decor, although it is piecemeal rather than coordinated...who cares? you are in a bar after all. The cd box is very loud, you almost need to yell to each other. The music choices are mainly for the 60's -70's decade crowd, grateful dead, Jimmy buffet and so on. And you are at the mercy of the music patrons choose, even if it's over and over.

The food* They offered pizza, sandwiches, steaks and fish fry (for friday night) My husband ordered a steak, and LOVED it. At first I ordered perch fish fry, but they were out. I then settled on a bowl of seafood chowder and a BLT. I didn't care for both of these things. It was the first time I'd ordered chowder that had corn in it and I'm not a big fan of corn other than on the cob. As for the BLT, it came with nice, thick-cut, crisp bacon, but I am picky and don't like thick cuts of any meat at all. They put the mayo on the sandwich like it was going out of style. So I won't order that stuff next time. The pizzas looked really good if you like paper-thin crispy crust and they are very large....on my list to try for sure.

The service* is very relaxed. Our waitress was super. She made us very comfortable and was very nice to us.

The Verdict* I'd definately like to try this place ordering different food and on a non-festival weekend. All the negatives were not so important I won't give them another go.
