I'm not sure there are many places left in the U.S. that offer a real blast to the past like Sister Bay Bowl....where you can truly live out a nite that your great grandparents would have enjoyed, a great dinner, bowling and cocktails afterwards and all under the same roof!

“YUMMY, old time classic, not too fussy, but still very nice.”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

Sister Bay Bowl, what can I say. It's the quintessential old school, delicious prime rib and fish place. Attached to an original bowling alley, with a nice bar, overlooking the town, it sits as the cornerstone of this charming old town, the one that is not "over-commercialized" in upper Door County. We had a good time, good service (some of the waitresses have been there for many, and I mean many, years. It's all good. They have wonderful prime rib, a great whitefish dinner, the sides are the classics and also delicious. If you sit on the north side you have a great view of the town street, and the beautiful waters of Green Bay. Love it...want to go back right now...

“A favorite”

It's hard to be objective about this Sister Bay Institution. There are so few places like it any more. A Bowling Alley/Bar with attached supper club, and now even branching into live musical entertainment (could definitely do without this!) "dah Bowl" has a sixties nostalgia feel in the bowling alley, and pure eighties in the well maintained and inviting dining room. The menu hasn't changed much in 50 years, offering simple Wisconsin supper club fare: steaks, chops, ribs, the ubiquitous Wisconsin broasted chicken and fresh old-fashioned salad bowl with great home made dressings and specialty bread loaf. Really and truly fabulous lake perch, dependable whitefish. (Please overlook the pasta bowl, an unfortunate attempt at an update.) Burgers are also better elsewhere. Terrific and reasonable bar service.

The overall service is excellent. Many of the waitresses have been there for years, and it's great to get to know them over the years. One always feels like returning to old friends.

The Bowl offers generous hours; open in some fashion year round. They now have an open air snack and drink bar for the warm season. We still like to sit in the dining room at a window overlooking the Main Street in Sister Bay and check out all the "action".? This is always our first stop coming back up to Door County. It's like coming home.

“Great service, food, so so.”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

We haven't been to the Sister Bay Bowl for several years, so, I thought we give it a whirl for old times sake. After a dare from wifey to roll a game I needed a couple of cocktails to ease the pain of her kicking my butt. The bartenders were great, attentive, fast, and friendly.
Again after we were seated, great service.
I ordered the sirloin special and wifey ordered the prime rib. The prime rib was excellent, the steak
Was tasteless and tough. Disappointing.
All in all I'll give a thumbs up for the service and the typical Wisconsin supper club atmosphere but
Two stars for the steak, five stars for the prime rib. Salads and home baked bread was excellent..

I was in the area for a class at The Clearing and we had dinner here two nights. Food was fabulous and we will come back again when we're in the area. Thank you for a great time!
