We could not stop laughing at the sight of the goats on the roof. We had been told about this, but seeing them in person was just so much funnier than we expected. That alone is worth the stop!
The restaurant must still have all its orginal furnishings and decor (plastic molded seats!) which in a way, is part of the charm and attraction. You feel like you are a kid again in the back of the big old chevy on vacation.
I had the Swedish pancakces with lingonberries, and got addicted! Just terrific. My husband had pickled herring, which he said was outstanding, a great roasted red pepper soup, and a very average sandwich. But good fun with fun wait staff who get into it all.
The gift shop is surprising....I expected kitschy sort of road-side junk, but instead found a very lovely and well stocked shop. We did not have a lot of time, but if you are a shopper, be sure to stop in, it is not at all what I expected.
