“Good value, nice attraction”
Reviewed August 31, 2014

Stopped here with my daughters and one of their friends after years of avoiding Al's because of the "tourist" draw, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised.by their menu offerings and service. We enjoyed fresh fish dishes and Swedish pancakes and everything was a hit.
Wait staff were friendly and courteous, and service was prompt. Prices were
standard restaurant rates which is fine for a meal or two if your on a limited budget like me.
The wait staff dress uniforms were the old fashioned Swedish dresses and were actually quite lovely.
A nice gift shop is also present on site and offers a decent price range of things Swedish.
Of course, you have to love the goats on the roof!

“LOVE! This! Place!”
Reviewed August 27, 2014

We stopped her for a brunch on a trip, with a large group (15+ people), and we did not have to wait long at all! Most of us ordered the famous Swedish pancakes with lingonberries, but several people got soup and sandwiches, and we were all impressed and left stuffed. Value is decent, and it's very kid-friendly. We loved the gift shop attached to it. I confess, I'm a shopper, and enjoyed purchasing traditional Swedish candies and lingonberry syrup and wine, and also a few cute scarves. They had a kid's section, and we purchased a Swedish storybook (in English, of course) that was charming. The atmosphere of the restaurant/shop is nice too, they try to make it look like an authentic Swedish restaurant, with the waiters in traditional dress. The building has a grass roof, and I understand that on some of the days, goats graze on the grass on the roof. They weren't when we went, but that would have been fun to see.

“Iconic Swedish place”
Reviewed August 27, 2014 via mobile

Only had breakfast here. The famous Swedish pancakes. The place is busy but turnover is fast. Breakfast is what the restaurant is most well-known for. Swedish pancakes may be had with various breakfast meats and even meatballs. The pancakes are a little thicker than the classic version. They are made in a large oblong sheet and cut into rectangular pancakes and folded over to form squares. They aren't the best I have had. The place has a Swedish feel with sod roof where goats graze. There is also a store attached with Scandinavian goods.

“Great food, lovely atmosphere, cool goats.”
Reviewed August 26, 2014

We went in mid-afternoon, thus avoiding the lines at mealtimes. Food was great, service was very good, hot chocolate served with a huge pile of whipped cream - which was a little odd on a hot day but sure tasted good! The gift shop was fun and we couldn't leave without a goat of our own.
