The evening did not start out well as we had made reservations for an outdoor table and they had reserved one inside. Luckily, the hostess was able to secure a table for us outside. Our server, Elli, was very friendly and attentive. We had the egg roll appetizers which were more like spring rolls which we both love. The summer salad had a light apple cider vinagrette with strawberries, toasted pecans, blue cheese and mixed greens. It was the perfect choice for a summer evening. We shared the fish special which was a swordfish with a pineapple salsa served with smashed potatoes or wild rice. It was excellent. However, there is a $10 split plate charge which is a bit high in my opinion. We ended the evening with a stupendous tasting carrot cake. It is a layer cake dense with toasted pecans and a light cream cheese filling and frosting. It is the best carrot cake we have ever enjoyed. We plan to make this one of our Door County regular dining stops.
