As good, and as pricey, as the best white table cloth restaurants in (Chicago) suburbs -- but worth every penny. Staff is polite, efficient and knowledgeable. Restaurant, at least in the fall months, is quiet (which adds to the elegance); menu choices excellent; presentation outstanding. Has become a must-dine-there on our annual trips to Door County. Beautiful view, though it may take a reservation for tables in the front, where view is the best.

Celebrated Labor Day weekend with dinner at the Inn at Kristofer's. The meal was superb and the view of the marina fantastic. We were able to see the fireworks while dining.

Food here was not great. Service was ok. Good wine selection. Would not go back. We were seated in a back room, not much atmosphere. Food was expensive for not being anything special.

My husband and I follow a vegan lifestyle with the added kicker of no extracted oils whenever possible (Esselstyn/McDougall vegan diet). I called ahead to let them know of our needs and when we arrived, our waiter was ready with the chef's suggestion. It was a marvelous dish with rice, flash-cooked veggies, and an oil-free curry sauce that was created specially for us. Heaven! I would have loved to get the recipe for the curry dish, but to no avail. Our fellow carnivore diners enjoyed their dishes as well. The cheesecake that they ordered for dessert was huge, probably big enough for 4 people, and they loved it. We ordered the lemon sorbet which was good, albeit a little tart, but that was to be expected. I highly recommend this recipe to vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores alike ... I hear they have great fish recipes, too. We requested ahead of time and were fortunate to get a nice round table that offered a wonderful view of the sunset. Keep that in mind when making your reservation. In closing, while it's pricey, Kristofer's is a great place for a special dinner or upscale vacation dinner. We'll be back!

We recently enjoyed a wonderful fine dining experience at Kristofers!
Our server, Stephanie, was outstanding and helped make the evening perfect.
The meal was delicious and the whitefish was the best in Door County!
