“Food Fizzles... But Fun Times!”
Reviewed July 12, 2013

If you are looking for a tasty or gourmet meal, skip Fred and Fuzzy's. The food is really not very good - ever, and I have been there MANY times (with my family as well as with friends). We still go there on every trip though. Our son LOVES skipping stones on the beach and has since he was little (he is now a teeanager). We will not leave Door County until he can skip rocks - it's a tradition for our family. For the last few times we have skipped purchasing dinner and only buy drinks and watch the sunset and our son skipping stones in chairs they have set up (rather than getting a table and ordering food). If they change the menu and/or their food quality gets better, we will be back at the tables. We do love the atmosphere, especially when they have live music.

“Location location location”
Reviewed July 12, 2013

Eating on the beach, with a cold cherry juice margarita in your hand, watching the setting sun. The Bahamas? Nope. Fred and Fuzzys. The menu is pretty good, but it's the location that you cannot miss!

“Every waterfront town needs a place like this”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Fred and Fuzzy's is a vacation experience. It becomes the favorite restaurant of everyone I recommend it to. It is not fine dining, to be sure. What it has is a varied menu - wraps, smoked brisket sliders, brats, burgers, grilled cheese, fish sandwiches, even Italian sausage and Italian beef sandwiches, although few, if any, restaurants in this Scandinavian community can do anything Italian that doesn't end up with some form of orange cheese on it and taste like it was made by a Norwegian cook- I know this because I am Norwegian... F and F is no exception. So, just know that in advance and forego the disappointment. The point is, you don't come for exceptional food. You come because it is a wonderful place to be and you can eat a nice sandwich at a decent price (about 11 bucks for my Corned Beef Reuben which came with a bag of chips, a pickle and coleslaw. Yes, it had far too much mayo, ranch and sauerkraut but who cares? I took it off and it was fine and I thoroughly enjoyed the water, the setting sun, the breeze off the bay, the company and the first margarita I had ordered since eating here last fall. The service was excellent. Most importantly, it is a place that makes you feel like you are truly on vacation the way a waterfront restaurant in Acapulco would. My companions, by the way, were very happy with their grilled ham and cheese, hamburger and chicken wrap. If you're lucky enough to be eating lunch or dinner when a storm blows in, grab the umbrellas and help out. Then sit back and enjoy the storm.

“Great view of sunset”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

The food was what we expected for this type of restaurant. Nothing special but tasty. The selling point for this place is the relaxing atmosphere, friendly waitresses and the view of the sunset. We will be back.
