Went on a Friday night a little later than the evening rush. A couple of tables were actually open but no one bothered to acknowledge us. Went to the bar where the bartender told us to sit anywhere and waited probably 10 minutes for our waitress to arrive. We had a variety of food: pizza, fish fry and a burger. All were excellent! Pizza done to perfection, crust crunchy, pepperoni awesome! Fish fry better than the average fare and priced right. Burger devoured by a teenager before I could ask how it was. Cute place although quite small. The service leaves a little to be desired (refills on drinks would have been appreciated, so we just went to the bar again!) Nice enough staff but SLOW. Do not go here if you are in a hurry! Will go back absolutely as the food was that good!

Went on a Wednesday with my partner around 7:30. Looks like a house from the outside, very tiny inside, 6 tables and a bar. It's pretty clearly a "regulars" place, as everyone looked at us, but no one welcomed us when we walked in. The decor is really quaint, log cabin style, very kitschy - but clean and well done, very homey and welcoming.
After asking the bartender if we sat ourselves, we waited at a table for about 5 minutes before the waitress came over. Ordered the combo platter with jalapeno poppers, cheese curds, and mushrooms, and a chicken Parmesan pizza. The appetizer took over 30 minutes to get to us, and we did not see the waitress once the entire time. However, it was almost worth the wait. All the pieces were hand breaded with some sort of herb/panco bread crumb mix, which made the cheese curds absolutely delicious, and the mushrooms and jalapeno poppers way better than average. Best combo platter I've ever had. Worth 30 minutes? If the waitress had talked to us just once to apologize or explain the wait, definitely. Without that? Probably not.
The pizza came just before we finished the appetizer, and the waitress failed to refill my partners soda, even though it was sitting empty at the edge of the table (and had been for 10 minutes). The homemade thin crust was cooked well and was delicious, the red sauce was very flavorful and went well with the thin seasoned chicken slices, and the cheese was greasy and lovely. A delicious and well made pizza.
Overall, we will be going again, and the food was great, but the service was nice enough, but very disappointing and slow, and for a first time customer, that was very telling. For such a tiny, intimate restaurant with two employees in the front, it's not hard to be even slightly more attentive.

It looks ugly on the outside, but once you get inside, the place is a gem: 50+ year old light pine panelling and hand-built pine tables and chairs--plus the clientele--lend the place an "I'm eating in the neighborhood" feeling. The pizza is not fancy and the toppings list is brief, but you won't find a better crust anywhere: crisp as a cracker and with the perfect amount of toppings. Nice beer list, decent dinner salad to go with the pizza. Could have ordered a variety of fried foods or sandwiches/burgers if we had wanted to. We notice they also do takeout and delivery.

Seriously, some of the best pizza I've ever had. I don't care for their pepperoni though, so I stick to the sausage. Not outrageously expensive. Get there early or you'll wait a long time for a table.

Riverview Inn is the best place for great pizza at reasonable prices. Our favorite is the Christmas tree pizza. We don't like thick crust on our pizza and this crust is just right. We always order the largest pizza just so that we'll have leftovers to take home. The restaurant isn't very large. There is only about 7 or 8 tables and the atmosphere is rustic. It's like an "up north" log cabin. It would be great if they had delivery service.
