Golden Pines is our favorite restaurant for an evening on the town in the North Woods. We have eaten there several times every summer since they opened. It has a wonderful atmosphere in an historic log cabin building. It was our family favorite under its first owners, too. The food is excellent, and we have tried almost everything on the menu. They have wonderful desserts, too, but we are always too full to order one. We always say we will go just to have something light so that we have room for dessert, but we always wind up ordering a dinner. Their prime rib is wonderful, and their sirloin steak is one of the best values in the area. Their fish and chicken dinners are great, too. I have never had a bad dinner there. The staff is very professional, and most have been there for many years. It is our favorite place to take friends to dinner.
