We booked 4 rooms for a mini family reunion this weekend and we couldn't have had a better stay. Although there was a convention going on and the hotel was busy, everything was great...smooth check-in/out, immaculate, well kept hotel/furnishings, clean, comfortable rooms, plentiful hot breakfast included, large pool/hot tub area, very reasonable rates and convenient location. We will definitely stay at the Stoney Creek Inn again!

I have business at a testing agency nearby that takes me to this area several times a year. We always, and why I no longer recall, stay at the Holiday Inn across the street. An okay hotel, but on the last trip we still had not completed our work by 9:00PM the next night, and decided to stay over, but with no room avilable at the Inn we stayed at Stone Creek for the first time. Hey, in my opinion, more charming lobby, more interesting rooms, and certainly a better breakfast dining room with twice the food options. I go back in a few weeks to complete the failed test and setting here now wondering why I would pay $35 more to go back across the street. We rent 6 rooms at a time, and it is every man for himself, but I think we are all moving over.

Room Tip: I was on the first floor, no elevator or stairs to deal with, close to lobby and breakfast room but...

Many of the families (>10) that were going to compete in the Badger State Games Figure Skating competition stayed here. Overall the rooms were clean and what you would expect, but were they exceded my expectations was how accomodating and flexible the staff was. Some of the competitors had 5am ice times and the some of the breakfast items were put in the breakfast area earily. Also, because of the off times for competition etc. the staff let us use the breakfast area on off hours to feed our kids so they can be together. We will definately stay there next year! Thanks Stoney Creek!

We have enjoyed three stays at Stoney Creek. We remembered the front desk attendant from previous stays. She offers a welcoming, friendly atmosphere with a personal touch. We love the northwoods decor. The breakfast room is inviting where we enjoyed a card game or two. We will be sure to visit again.

This has three floors and I was unfortunately stuck on the second floor. Why unfortunately? We could hear the incessant pounding of feet up-and-down the hallways from kids running on the 3rd floor as well as, believe it or not, activity from the floor below. The curious thing is I often travel with my kids for their sporting events and am not normally offended by this. However, the rich irony here is I was required to sign a document at check in stating that anything more than a gathering of five people is considered a party and a violation of hotel rules. In addition, it proudly proclaims a quiet time of 10pm; surely that must have meant 10pm PST, as it was hell-on-wheels all the way to midnight.

I wonder also about the front doors of the hotel. The first set is automatic doors (good), but the second set is manual. Why? If you are carrying an armful, you're stuck. Why one automatic and the other set operator-driven? Bad design, I guess.

Check in. There were four adults and two children in our party to be occupying two rooms. We were told they couldn't accommodate placing us next door (ok, I understand that), but to place one on the first floor adjacent to a common area room (used, ironically, for parties of more than five) and me on the 2nd floor was strange. We checked in at 4:30pm on a Friday and the hotel was not about a quarter full at that time --- but was expected to completely fill up (said the front desk clerk). How many keystrokes would it have taken to place us adjacent? Was there a long line behind us? No. Did it appear they were short staffed? No. Then why not take a few moments to see if the opportunity was there to shuffle things? Just a pure lazy effort by the front desk folks.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn right next door and would recommend that over the Stoney Creek Inn. Additionally, there are plenty of hotels just a few exits north on I-39. All would have been made for a more comfortable experience than what was delivered here.

The room was fine. Standard fare that met expectations. They had a small room off to the side that served late night drinks (wouldn't call it a bar per se, but it was acceptable). Interestingly, one "bar" patron who left was pulled over by the local police for drunk driving in the parking lot and entertained several of us who gathered there to avoid the five person party ban.

Thank you to the whole staff and especially April for setting up our group up with some fabulous rooms, great service, and at a great price. They were very accomodating and even had breakfast available earlier than than the normal times, due to our early morning schedules. Thanks again and we'll be sure to be back again next year.

stayed with family over the holidays. needed to bump up the room count from 6 to 7 on saturday night, not a problem. The rooms were clean and comfortable. the pool/hottub area was nice, we had it to ourselves the last hour. The continental breakfast worked for our group. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: We were on third floor. nice and quiet.
