We met Christina, her family runs the restaurant. The soup was wonderful and my husband enjoyed his sweet and sour shrimp. Everyone was so nice. We will be back!

We met a friend at the Manderin for lunch. We live 60 miles away and our friend suggested we meet at her favorite Chinese restaurant. We were not disappointed! The luncheon menu was reasonably priced and quite extensive. A soup bar is included and both soups (egg drop and chicken noodle) were made wonderfully. We each had a different entree that we shared. Every meal was prepared fresh and was a joy to eat. When we return to Rice Lake we will again dine at Mandarin Chinese restaurant.

Like the other reviewers, I was extremely happy when the Mandarin was re-opened by this family. I normally have lunch here once a week, and typically order the General Tso’s Chicken or Empress Chicken. The egg drop soup and crab rangoon are yummy, too. Their service is prompt and it’s very easy for me to get in an out and make it back to work within an hour.

If you haven't been here for awhile, it is time to come back. Yenping and Nelson have done wonders with the Mandarin, and their food will definitely please your appetite.

I've really missed this restaurant and am glad they've come back to town. The food is as good as it used to be. The renovations on the inside are okay, not great, but it looks clean. The staff are great. They are friendly and fast.
