After reading many reviews, I was kind of skeptical about eating here, but boy am I glad we went! We spend 4 days in Rice Lake on vacation, and ate here 4 times in 3 days. The breakfast is wonderful, and chose something different each of the 3 times we came for breakfast. The omelettes are big, and portions are generous. My husband had the Reuben Omelette...not something that sounds all that great, but it was WONDERFUL! Many Norwegian influenced options, and the lefse was great! We asked about fish on Friday nights when were were there for breakfast. We were advised of their all you can eat option, which includes baked and fried, for $10.99. We figured for that price, we had to try it. We were not disappointed! The baked has a crumb batter, and the flavor and texture were perfect. The fried was a little greasy, but the breading was crisp and flavorful. I knew we had many options in the area for a great fish fry, but I'm glad we came here. We left stuffed and satisfied every time we ate here! Everything is homemade and delicious. The service was a little slow sometimes, but always friendly.

The Norwegian pancakes with lingonberries syrup were good. The lefse is very close to homemade and light years better than the commercial stuff in the grocery store. Pies are good, but I had to get my 3rd choice because they were out of the first two choices. Would go again.

UJpon arrival we found it was their Traditional Lutefisk Dinner Day. They only serve this twice a year, first Sunday in October and First Sunday in December. It consisted of Lutefisk, Sweet Sour Soup with Norwegian Flat Bread, Pickled Herring, Meatballs, Mashed Potatoes, Mashed Rutabegas, Lefse and Cranberries and finished off with Norwegian Cream Pudding with a Sanbakkel. We had eaten breakfast there the day before. Their food is excellent, the place is neat and clean and we certainly will stop there again, might drive the 100 miles for the meal again on the first Sunday of December.

Went here twice while in town. Second time we had an order mishap and ended up waiting awhile for our food... however the manager came over and apologized and gave us a dozen cookies to make up for their error. Would definitely go back, best breakfast in town.
