Description: The Brick is a wonderfully cozy restaurant with a menu that varies from pizza and sandwiches to a beautifully plated entree of pasta, fish or meat. It is located in a northern Wisconsin vacation community. The chef bought this bar and restaurant that was in need of some love and good food and has turned it into a highly sought after dining experience complete with the required Wisconsin Friday Fish Fry!

“Was better in Lake Tomahawk”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2014

My husband and I stopped in for fish last Friday and ate at the bar. The lobster bisque and bread sticks were great. The fried cod and fried shrimp were a disappointment. The cod was rubbery and the shrimp were like something from a frozen food box.

Why doesn't the Management train the staff to make their customers feel welcome? Or, to offer additional food/drinks/coffee rather than shoving the check under the diners' nose while they take the last bite of the entrée? This happened to us in Lake Tomahawk and again in Rhinelander. The bartender/server seemed surprised that we wanted dessert and had to re-do the check. No offer of coffee or an after dinner drink.

Too, our dessert was served on a plate with the same garnish/adornment that was on our entrée plate. Some sort of herb mix that, definitely, does not belong with a dessert! Honestly, it is overdone on the entrée, too!

The food was better in Lake Tomahawk.

It always seems they are trying to turn their tables quickly and rush the guests out the door in order to seat another party. We will help them by not going back.

“Now located in Rhinelander, but still the best restaurant in the northwoods!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2014

The Brick is now located in Rhinelander on Brown St (across from the Pub in the old Bugsy's building). New number is 715-369-2100. It is still AWESOME! They have several different specials that change from week to week and their regular menu has alot of great options also. I LOVE all of their seafood, the sushi-grade ahi tuna is spectacular! One week they had mac and cheese pizza which was amazing! My friends could not stop raving about the bacon-wrapped scallops. The owners are actively involved in this restaurant, working there every night, Wes is the best chef in the area, and I think that's really the secret to their success. They are passionate about their business and really care about the customers' experience and it shows. I like their new place in Rhinelander better than the old place in Lake Tomahawk, it's larger and brighter and I love the couch seating area, it's a great place to sit and enjoy your drinks while you wait to be seated (expect a wait especially on Fri and Sat as this is a VERY popular restaurant so it gets very busy, but it is so worth the wait). The staff is all super friendly and knowledgeable. But the best thing is the food, they offer a lot of different options than your typical northwoods restaurant. I've eaten there many, many times and have never had a bad meal.

“They moved to Rhinelander, Wi and still great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2014

We enjoyed this restaurant in Lake Tomahawk, WI. They have now moved to Rhinelander, WI. Right down town on Brown Street, with the same FANTASTIC food and service. If you haven't tried it, you need to. Love their salmon and chicken dishes. Have never had an even soso dinner, always great.

“Moved to Rhinelander”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2014

The Brick moved to Rhinelander main street in May. Same great service, same outstanding food, same great people! Larger and we enjoy the new surroundings a lot, especially because it is just in town now, and we do not have to drive to Lake Tom.

We really enjoy the "Specials" that have been featured lately - they change, so its some great options to mix things up. We head to the Brick every week we possibly can and it is always outstanding. The new phone # is 715`369`2100

“A revisit at a new location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 17, 2014

First of all, The Brick has left Lake Tomahawk and now resides on the main drag in Rhinelander, WI, some 20 miles away. The owners took over a craft brewery/sports bar and are turning it into a classy restaurant. I had shrimp and pasta and would rate it 4 of 5. I started with lobster Bisque which was "ok". One of my companions had Raspberry Chicken which get 4.5 of 5 easily. The other two dinners just were not real satisfied. I think
