We stopped here with a large group. Wait staff was efficient and pleasant. Food was very good. Jumbo shrimp were actually jumbo and very well prepared. Everyone was pleased with their meals. We were apprehensive after seeing outdated decor, but were happy with meals. They serve Coke which is always a plus. Sweet potato fries were good, but wish they came with chipotle mayo. Overall.a good vale with above average food.

We visited Rhinelander last summer with friends. We had never been there before and really didn't know what to expect, but this place looked as promising as anything else in the "downtown" area. I had the philly cheese steak special and it was ok, but the rest of our group was not impressed with their meals. The beer was fine. The decor was a little odd. Think of a cross between a diner, a beer hall and a steakhouse. Might be better off going a little further up the road to Eagle River.

They used to serve a great French Dip - now the au jus tastes like salt water. My friend and I consumed an entire pitcher of water.

For 25 years ALWAYS ate at the Pub when I was in town. The wait staff was excellent, the bar poured a damn good drink and the food was outstanding, especially the ribs. Then the origional family sold out, a group bought the restaurant that owns many in the area and everything went downhill fast. The quality of the meat is a joke, service is ok and the bar pours your normal northwoods cocktail geared towards the tourists. Just had the ribs on this past Saturday (opening deer hunting weekend) and only ate 4. The rest went home to the doggies. Older brother, who is a local, had the ribs too and said they sucked. This was the third chance (and third strike) since the ownership change. Steer clear.
