My husband and I stayed at the Quality Inn Hotel and we loved our stay over there!!! What an AWESOME hotel for the price we paid! I am not sure why some of the reviewers gave so bad reviews for the hotel. I totally disagree with them!! It’s a fantastic location in the heart of Rhinelander!

Upon arriving at the hotel, we were too early to check in, but they happily held our bags while we took the chance to explore. Check in was easy, and the front desk staff was courteous and very helpful in giving directions. The room was spacious and clean with a king bed, TV, microwave and safe, plus the coffee maker and usual accoutrements. And, if you are worried about security, there is a desk attendant 24/7 but we never felt unsafe in that area or hotel.

The pool area was gorgeous with lots of sun beds & umbrellas. We spent more time at pool as we felt it was very relaxing area after long day of our events. The coffee at the lobby area was a fun place to hang out. The staff never failed to ask us how our day went when they see one of us walking through the lobby making us feel very important.

Overall, we had a fun time at the Quality Inn Hotel and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to visit Rhinelander.

The hotel is ok but for the price you could probably do better. The location is pretty good and the staff has been friendly and those are certainly the high points of this hotel.

However, I was immediately struck but a musty smell in the room, it looks clean but old and kinda shabby. The bed covers look like there a hold over from the 70's, the carpeting is old and again musty smelling (not over powering but noticed). The bathroom is kinda gross looking, clean but again very old looking (toliet seat looks old and chipped, lotsa use I guess).

Bed was so so and kinda lumpy, again nothing special but not too bad.

The breakfast is also plain jane, nothing special or standout here either.

Lastly I like it pitch black and quiet when I sleep. The highlight of the night was waking up to the person in the next room taking a leak, must have extremely thin walls or poor bathroom placement. Somewhat noisy until people settled down for the night.

It was alright and again the staff was very friendly, but next time I'm in town I'll look at other places, for the money you can do better.

I rely upon TripAdvisor frequently for hotel recommendations and, in most cases, I am not disappointed with reviewer's recommendations. However,I have no idea why the Quality Inn in Rhinelander, WI could possibly be rated as #1 in the city. Granted, there are few hotels/motels to select from in this small community but the Quality Inn is definitely not #1. This hotel is a very old hotel that has obviously been passed on from brand to brand over its long live span. If you look at photos of the hotel on the internet, it looks quite nice. This, however, is simply a gussied up front entrance attached to a very tired hotel much the same as Hollywood builds false fronts for buildings in movies. While the rooms are about as good as an old hotel can be, it is the dismal corridors that one must pass through to reach their rooms that properly convey the hotel's true age. This is not a hotel that forks accustomed to Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, etc. would want to stay at. My recommendation would be to stay at the AmericInn located right next door to the ancient Quality Inn in Rhinelander. The AmericInn is brand new and cheerful.

Reasonable priced. Nice lobby and business center, "front end" must have been added much later than guest rooms which were older and somewhat dated, but clean enough. Pool was good sized and a little cool but fine for kids. Also had a too hot - hot tub and small game room. Breakfast had wide selection and in a nice roomy area with lots of tables well spaced out, a rarity in motels like this. Close to Culver's for a evening snack. Met our needs for 1 night stay, good for a night or two but personally wouldn't stay for closer to a week if vacationing in Rhinelander. Great overall value.

Take a look at the hotel photos on the Choice Hotel site. Looks pretty rustic, ja? And the price? A bargain! Wow, let's book a room at this lovely, backwoods inn! No. It's a boring, bland boxy hotel with a lodge-style foyer and lobby tacked on. That's it. DIngy rooms, the usual lousy Choice Hotels "continental breakfast" consisting of those pour-it-yourself waffles and no eggs. Ugh. If this is the best that Rhinelander can do, I suggest you drive south to Wausau or north to, um, somewhere else.
