a supper club with good food, good salad bar, casual atmosphere. A good find in an area where good things are hard to find.

From the staff, to the salad bar, to "Herb's Special", the whole experience is fantastic.

“Excellent fish fry, worth the drive!”
Reviewed May 1, 2011

We stumble upon Feil's last Fall while driving to Green Lake from Madison. The host is usually the owner, Herb. His family has owned/operated the restaurant for generations. The bartenders, Mike and Warran, both make incredible Old Fashioneds.

Friday night is the best time to go for the all-you-can-eat fish & broasted chicken buffet for $10.95. It's fantastic! The fried fish is pollock, it's got a great breading and always delicious. The chicken is great - crispy skin and juicy meat, just perfect. The buffet has several sides including a version of "hotdish" and a homemade soup. The salad bar is huge with lots of toppings and pasta salads.

My husband and I have been back at least ten times. Even though it's a half hour drive from the east side of Madison, it's worth it!
