“Pub;s Perfectly Placed Location”

John's Dock's deck was so inviting on the sunny day we visited. We sat at an umbrella table that allowed shade for us as we looked out on the river where boats passed. Some even docked at the pier to enjoy the food as well. The light breeze, fun atmosphere with calypso music playing added to the enjoyment of the day. A lite lunch with a cool beverage was satisfying for our group.

“Don't do it!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014

We gave them one last chance, since the outdoor seating is so nice. John's Dock has music piped in on their patio, but the band from their neighboring bar was way louder, causing music conflict. Servers were extremely slow - we placed our drinks order after waiting 30 minutes. After another 15 minutes I went to the bar to try to get the drinks we ordered - our server was kind and said she would bring them out - "it's just a really busy Saturday night". Hmmm, 80 degrees and sunny on a Saturday in Wisconsin - yes, people will flock to restaurants with outdoor seating! Sweet and Sour Chicken Sandwich was small, and average flavor. Price was fair at $9.00. Sweet potato fries were cold, but they brought a new batch quickly. My husbands burger was cold, but didn't want to wait for a new on. Cold beer was the saving grace. I won't waste my time again with this one.

“Slowwwwwww Service”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2014

Thought we would try something new tonight so we headed down to John's Docks. No hostess and we got to pick our own seat...not bad. We sat in back where my kids could see the Main Street bridge go up. We waited about seven minutes for someone to take drink order. Then when the drinks came, one was spilled on to us by waitress ( it happens), but what was nice we got to wipe down sticky table since it was sticky and had tiny crumbles. We ordered the all you can eat fish fry. The fish was good, but it took 30 minutes to get food. My husband ordered another batch of fish and it took over 25 minutes for 3 (about 2 nickels in length sized) fish. So he put in for another order as soon as he saw there was enough fish to sustain him more than a hour or two ( and no he is not a large man). We never got order of fish, as kids were done waiting. If service was quicker, it may have been worth the $70.00 spent on dinner.

“DO NOT EAT HERE”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2014

DO NOT EAT HERE. Terrible service, 50 min to get our food on a Sunday at 5PM, owner couldn't care less about how terrible his restaurant is run and clearly doesn't want to accept any form of feedback or critiques. It is not worth it to go here for average food that you will wait an hour for, terrible service and an owner who doesn't know how to run a restaurant.
