Shopping, shopping, and more shopping! Lots of quaint shops to visit in the downtown area to suit just about any girl's shopping urges. Unique places to find treasures during your visit to Racine!

Racine, sadly seems to following the path of Detroit. The city seems to be really struggling. My family and I were floored by the racially charged language that we over heard in the downtown area restaurants. A friend took me to a bar and it was the same thing. This place has some issues. I am guessing the high unemployment rate has a lot to do with what we experienced. The sad part is that it seems like it was once a really decent place.

I live downtown racine and there is many great places to eat and drink. Great atmosphere at Deweys sports bar and grill plus the food is a+. Also a fan of pepi's and the ivanhoe irish pub for their food and beer selection. Little disappointed we dont make the festival site busy every weekend in the summer, kind of a waste. Also i think thinks people that live downtown especially in my building would like to see a mid level size grocery store.

It's centrally located in between Chicago and Milwaukee, very convenient. You get the charm of the downtown, on Lake Michigan but without the prices of a big city. Tons to do and see!

Downtown Racine is a great place to spend an afternoon shopping, browsing, and dining. There are many art galleries, boutiques shops, and unique restaurants within walking distance. Situated just a couple blocks off of Lake Michigan, there is always some sort of event going on downtown. First Fridays are especially fun I the the summer...where the downtown is transformed into a giant block party! Party on the Pavement is also an epic festival with food, music and game.
The only thing to be aware of is that parking meters are in effect Monday through Saturday until 6 PM so be sure to grab some change.
