The sign on the front of the Yardarm did not steer us wrong. With fish on the menu for Saturday Night Dinner we made the right choice by going to the Yardarm. As expected with any respectable fish fry in Wisconsin, Lake Michigan Perch was on the menu and by coincidence already on my mind. The build your own Platter gave me plenty of both perch and walleye, very near heaven - add a locally brewed beer and yes indeed, that's a fine, fine meal. Although I only got a wee little taste, my wife's Grilled Cajun Catfish was great. Each meal was served with plentiful piles of Sand Dollars (thinly sliced potatoes with Parmesan Cheese) and a Sweet and Sour Coleslaw. Neither of us went away hungry and the prices didn't break the bank!

The Yardarm will definitely be on our 'return to' list the next time we travel to Racine.

Even if the food isn't for you (as we get older, we start to watch cholesterol counts), it's possible the music may be. If so, be sure to work your way to the front, because the music is admittedly not treated as the main attraction. Occasionally, it can be downright swinging mainstream jazz by 3 or 4 musicians.

Have been to the yardarm several times over the last several years. Today was the worst visit. Everything in the place is aging, except the new sweatshirts. Service was very slow. It took 45 minutes to get our meals. Kinda like we were an afterthought. Yes the check already had the 18% in it. The service was not worth it.

Hadn't visited in a while and had hopeful expectations...for a Friday nite not too busy and seated in the 5 minutes we were promised. Had to ask for water twice - really? Server confused Zinfandel with White Zinfandel. Ordered a burger on rye with slaw instead of sand dollar potatoes, got awful white bun with potatoes and no slaw. Fish was underwhelming. While the idea of their so-called potatoes sound good, only about 1/3 of them were crispy and worth tasting. The rest were soggy as I remembered from our last visit. No reason they can't improve on them. Service could use some improving too. Overall, disappointing and no real reason to return.
