A nice, beautiful beach by lake Michigan. Nice area to swim in and the lawn area to put up some grills. Venue for pro-beach volleyball tournament over the past few years.

And if you are into biking or running, there is a nice trail that goes by the lake.

An award winning beach, you will not be disappointed. Huge beach area, plenty of volleyball nets, the Oasis to grab food and hear music.

“One of the Best”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a wonderful beach. The sand is clean and lots of it. You can easily find a space of your own. There is an amazing playground for the kids with a pirate theme. There is a little snack shop there which has typical food, nothing special. The bathrooms are here as well. The bathrooms could use an update since this building has been here forever. So wear shoes when you use the bathrooms. This little oasis also has bands play usually on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They also put up real palm trees. Its really a little oasis. Almost makes you feel like the caribbean has come to this little corner of Wisconsin. Definetely worth the trip if your looking for a great beach experience in Wisconsin.

“Beautiful beach...was I really in Wisconsin?”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

This a beautiful beach. Numerous times I forgot I was in Wisconsin and thought I was on the coast of Florida. Huge sandy area with some palm trees and hammocks. The water stays shallow relatively far into the late. The bathrooms were quite dirty, even for lakeside. Would not recommend walking into them without shoes! Overall, it was a great experience!

“Like a slice of the Caribbean on the Racine Lakefront”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

USA Today's #1 beach in Wisconsin in 2012. Top 10 beaches on the Great Lakes.

We spend a good part of the year in Maui...so we know nice beaches.

Lovely, large, clean sugar sand beach with hammocks, palm trees and adirondack chairs near the concession stand/beach house, in combination with the beautiful water makes this a little slice of the Caribbean. The glass mosaic on the beach house is a nice touch and mirrors the restrooms at Kalama Beach Park in Kihei, Maui.

A mat walkway out to the "surf" makes the long, arduous walk across the beach to water access super-easy, even for strollers, wheeled coolers or wheelchairs! Well life-guarded, there is a sandbar that keeps the water pretty shallow for a good ways.

Heavy use on weekends can take a toll on the trash removal and restroom facilities; if it weren't for that, this would be a 5 star beach!
