“New beds, Carpet, TV, GREAT value!!”
Reviewed February 14, 2013

This is a friendly cozy hotel. The carpet in our room was new, the Bed was new with a wonderful comforter.. The place was quiet, staff friendly. There is a Hot Tub near the excercise room. It was closed due to upgrading it for Handicapped access. For me, places which do that are a real plus! Had to run early both days, so missed the breakfast, but the breakfast area looked real inviting.. One of the best values in Racine without a doubt!!

We stay here about 8-10 times a year. As of December 2012, they have brand new bedding, pillows, comforters, and towels. ALL VERY nice. The rooms we stay in always have a refrigerator, microwave and flat-screen TV. Rooms are clean, front desk staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is standard or better for a Comfort Inn - cereals, waffles, donuts, bagels, bread, hot eggs and bacon, yogurt, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, tea, milk. The ONLY minor complaint (and why I don't give it 5 *'s) is the bathroom tile floors, bathtubs and toilets have not been redone with any of the various remodeling projects this hotel has undergone. Thus, these areas show some wear and tear, however always feel that they are cleaned to the best that they can be. Overall, this is a GREAT value for the money.

Room Tip: Front desk staff can help you choose what you need.

The hotel and room was clean, everything was in good working order and the staff was helpful and friendly. They offer a continental breakfast. It wasn't great but there are several restaurants nearby. Seems to be in a convienient location. It's under 10 minutes from downtown Racine and a couple miles from the interstate. There aren't many frills but for a few good solid overnight stays at an afordable price, I recomend it.

We stayed at this hotel and the rooms were nice however; we asked for a roll away bed to be put in the room and were charged $10.00 a day for a broken roll away. The hot tub could be cleaned a little better and I was not impressed with the lack of towels available for the guest to transfer from the hot tub to their rooms without freezing in the hallway. Otherwise the lady at the front desk was very friendly and I would recommend this hotel to others but get your roll aways fixed before another guest gets take for $10.00 per night for a broken one.

We stayed at this Comfort Inn for three nights. We asked for a quiet room and we were given that in the back of the hotel, just steps from the back door and our car. Within one hour the phone rang and it was the front desk asking if we were comfortable in the room. Later that same evening, my couldn't get the plasma tv to work so we called the desk; someone came right down; when they couldn't figure things out they sent the Manager down; he "took care of business" and straightened out the small problem. The next day, a Saturday, we had a non-functioning toilet so called the desk and they sent down the engineer; he thought he fixed it but it wasn't so; we called back the desk and they called the Manager, at his home, and he brought in his repair kit and replaced the part needed to make the flush mechanism work. The Manager was in our room twice that weekend and he did his job magnificently. The breakfast room crew and the housekeeping staff did really well. The room was clean, updated, and quiet. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Racine. Considering the rate we paid, this is a much better deal than the Marriott.

We stayed one night and room was very comfortable and affordable for the price. We have AAA and it was a good rate. It didn't have a pool, but whirlpool was clean. We ordered food from the restaurant across the street London Broil. Food was excellent and very affordable. I would definetly stay again!

Stayed for three nights and was finally able to switch to Fairfield Inn across street and was much happier there. Although the rooms are dated, it was the constant harsh "perfume" smell in the carpet that was too heavy for me to feel comfortable. If they have to use that much perfume...what are they hiding?? When the air conditioner was lowered a funky must smell emerged in the room. The bathroom was worn, had a stained tub, and had some of the previous tenants hair visible in it :(

The bathroom was also very small and had the shower liner draped from a cured rod into what little space was available. Having said that, the fridge, mircrowave is always useful and the beds were comfee and except for the bedspread, the sheets and pillows were clean and odor free.

I tried to phone the front desk for wake up call and the front desk never answered the first night. The second night I ordered a wake up call it never came (thank goodness my son's phone was set as backup)!!

Breakfast was fine but don't expect the coffee to wake you up. There is a McDonalds close by.

Room Tip: Go across street to Fairfield to enjoy your room smell free. It's bright and clean and worth th...
